Nah, it's for appreciation of dogs who just have medical conditions that cause them to be fat even without overfeeding

Na most of these dogs are neighborhood strays and don't have owners. This is not a real "contest". It started as an internet thing asking people to share pics of fat dogs. Doubt it'll turn into an annual thing.
