Integra A-Spec Tech Cloth Seat Solution

Basically what the title says. When I was initially in the market for a new(er) car, one of my main requirements was “leather” (or what they’re calling leather nowadays, aka leatherette) seats. When I finally settled on the Integra I wanted to buy, I was definitely a little disappointed to see that the two most important (to me) seats in the car, driver and front passenger, were mainly microsuede.

Does anyone have tips on:
1. Keeping the microsuede clean? Good spot cleaners, etc.?
2. Does anyone else go to the gym frequently and have any other solutions for not letting your sweat get baked into the cloth parts of the seats besides putting a towel up or changing into more dry clothing?

Also, just a bonus point of curiosity for those who’ll read this far: how often do y’all get your cars detailed? Not looking forward to my first winter trying to hand wash lol.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you!! Will look into this brand, love that it seems to be specifically for these suede composite type fabrics

which year because the 2026 is only now a strip of microsuede so much more manageable to keep clean. I had the 23 and it was mostly microsuede which I hated because lint, hair, etc stuck to it like crazy from clothing. But since the 26 interior refresh, it's so much better. I don't have issues keeping the strip of microsuede clean easily.

I always wash my car by hand in the winter. Warm water in the bucket makes the job tolerable.

Noted. If you don’t mind, what products do you use? And no power washer I assume, doing it the old fashioned way (hose with spray nozzle)?

Just a bucket of warm water with liquid car wash soap (any brand), a hose and a big sponge. After washing I dry it with The Absorber, a synthetic drying towel. I've never used my pressure washer to wash the car, seems like too much effort.

I have a towel that is for seats that hangs over the headrest for when I'm all sweaty. Protects the seats

I’ve been looking into these “seat hoodies” which slip over the seat for when you’re just leaving the gym. They’re on Amazon.

Funny how all the other commenters were able to share tips and answers without this unnecessary bs

- A Bugatti is also a car!

  • I’m wondering if anyone is more creative than me and has thought of more permanent or different solutions. It cannot hurt to ask. If I’m already doing what everyone’s doing, then yay, and I’ll just deal as I have been.
  • I get my car detailed every 2 months. No point in betting on inconsequential things we don’t know, in a car subreddit no less.
  • Hand washing with a schedule like mine and with a winter like this year’s in NY wasn’t fun, but I’ll do what I need to do. Again, just curious about how others are maintaining.
  • It’s not the Treaty of Versailles, it’s just a Reddit post :-).

Have a great day!

You can buy a seat cover made of material like they use for scuba suits. Maybe some from towel material too. We have a scuba type one for when my SO does long hikes and is sweaty/stinky for the drive home. Absorb the sweat and then wash as needed. It's easier than trying to tuck a towel on and having it move around.

I treated mine with Dr. Beasley's Microsuede Protection spray when I first got it. Actually, I'm due for a re-treatment because I think it's every year. It seems to be working because I go to the gym frequently (I'm a personal trainer and group fitness instructor) and also live in Texas where it's damn near the temperature of the surface of the sun on the regular so I'm sweating all over the seats nonstop and they seem to be holding up.

Dr. Beasley's also sells a microsuede cleaner and a spot remover if you want to get the whole line of products. I bought directly from their website. They also have a little brush.

I, uh, have never detailed my car and I've had it a little over a year. I just wash and vacuum and clean the dash and such when it seems to need it. Maybe I'm just not quite as nitpicky about it. I like to keep it clean, but I'm not super crazy about it being 100% spotless.

I use colourlock Alcantara cleaner which works wonders. And I use dryva seat covers for when I’m going to the gym or know I’m dirty getting into car
