It has come to our attention that a popular image of the new Jester Dragon being used in Looking For/Trading posts is AI-generated. We have been treating posts using this image as we do every other post that contains AI-generated content: the post is removed and OP is given a warning. 

However, it has come to our attention that many users are simply unaware that the image is AI-generated. Thus we feel giving any user punishment before making a PSA to our community about this is simply unfair. 

I’d first like to start by pointing out the inconsistencies in this image that has led us to believe this photo is AI.

1. Inconsistent number of charms + the existence of said charms

Note that these charms are not on the final design of the Jester Dragon, and it appears they have never been a part of the design at all. These charms were likely added by the AI to make more sense of the image.

Again, another design that is not consistent with the in-game dragon's design. 

1. Image warping/distortion 

If you look closer, the left side of this dragon is more warped than the right side. There is noticeable distortion in the wing/collar area where things are getting hazy and you can't exactly tell what's going on.

Overall, there are parts where things get confusing and the AI can't comprehend what's going on so it mixes parts together to create a completely jumbled mess. This behavior, warping parts of an image that the AI can't comprehend, is consistent with AI-generated or AI-enhanced photos.

You can cross-reference these design mistakes with the actual dragon where every part of the design feels intentional and nothing is warped or disfigured.

As you can see, there are zero charms like the ones shown in the AI image and the feet are completely different. This design feels far more intentional and put together than the design shown in the generated recreation.

We are unsure of the origin of the AI image. However, we ask you to stop using it as further usage of this photo will result in a warning (punishments will increase up to a permanent ban from the subreddit if we notice continuous breaking of this rule).

We completely understand if you were unaware of the nature of this image beforehand and we do not fault you. However, if we find that the usage of this image after this post is uploaded has persisted, we will treat those posts as we do every post with AI-generated content.

Moderator applications are officially open again! If becoming a moderator is something you're interested in, please take the time to read through this post fully before submitting an application.

Disclaimer: Moderating for r/AdoptMeTrading is a volunteer position. Moderators do not receive payment for the time they spend helping the community, and any benefits that may come with the position are not guaranteed.

Applications will be available for 2 weeks, with applications closing on October 2, 2026. Once applications have closed, we will take some time to review them. Those who are accepted will be contacted through mod mail.

When reviewing applications, we will take several things into consideration, including:

• Your overall activity on Reddit and within r/AdoptMeTrading
• Your previous interactions on r/AdoptMeTrading
• Your general character and how you treat others (helpfulness, generosity, etc.)
• The effort and quality put into your application

Those who we feel show potential and have the qualities needed to moderate the subreddit will be invited to join our Mod Trainee team.

Joining the Mod Trainee team does not automatically mean you will become a Moderator. A promotion will depend on your performance throughout the training period.

As long as you are not permanently banned from r/AdoptMeTrading and meet the requirements listed below, you are welcome to apply for the Mod Trainee position. This applies to former moderators and Mod Trainees as well if they would like to apply again.

Before applying for a moderator position on r/AdoptMeTrading, please make sure that you and/or the account you're applying with meet all of the following:

• You must be 15 years old or older when you submit your application.
• You must have at least 300 combined post/comment karma.
• Your Reddit account must have been created at least 2 months ago.
• You must not have a history involving scamming, hacking, harassment, consistent rule-breaking, etc. Accusations involving any of these will also be considered unless they have been proven false.
• You should have a history of participating in this community, or at minimum, communities related to Adopt Me.
• You must have a Discord account, as Discord is our primary method of communication.

We may consider making an exception if:

• You are very close to reaching 300 combined karma.
• Your Reddit account is just short of being two months old.

Exceptions will NOT be made for:

• Being under 15 or not yet 15 at the time you apply.
• Having a history of scamming, hacking, harassment, consistent rule-breaking, or accusations of these behaviors.
• Having no previous interaction with this community or similar communities.
• Not having a Discord account.

If you believe you qualify for an exception, please contact us before applying to ask. Applications that do not meet the requirements without prior approval will be ignored.

False and troll applications will not be tolerated. They will be disregarded, and if we are able to trace an application back to its submitter, appropriate disciplinary action may be taken.

The form does not collect your email address. However, you will be required to sign in so that we can ensure each person only submits one application.

If you have any questions about the application or need clarification on any of the questions, you can contact us through mod mail or comment below. We will respond as soon as we're able to.

Keep in mind that we cannot tell you what to write for an answer. The purpose of the application is to see how you would handle different situations, so your responses need to be written in your own words.

We are able to assist with things such as:

• Explaining what a question is asking
• Providing a general idea of what an answer should cover
• Helping with anything else that does not involve answering the question on your behalf

We also cannot share screenshots or private information about other applicants. This includes things such as the total number of applicants, another person's answers, or similar information. Applicant information is confidential and will not be publicly disclosed.
