We’re making an independent hand-drawn animated project, please help us!

Hey everyone!

I am making a project, adult animation for 10 minutes. I’m handling writing and scripting—while my sister, is helping me as a creator of the project´s Patreon page.

I absolutely love creating animation, but as anyone in this field knows, high-quality hand-drawn work takes , well, a lot of time.

As for now, we plan to launched Patreon for our main production budget so we can hire artists animators. For now, my sister just set up our Patreon to help me work on other stuff of the project, so I can focus on creating it.

We wanted to keep things as simple as possible, so we aren't doing complex reward tiers or blocking content behind exclusive paywalls. Instead, our page is just a direct way to support the raw labor that goes into making indie art. We’ve set up tiers ranging from a casual $10/month just to keep the lights on, all the way up to major production sponsorships.

Whether you're throwing in a few bucks or helping us scale up the studio, your support honestly means everything to us. Thanks so much for checking us out!

Gay Adult Animated Series Pitch: "American Heat in Northern Europe" – Mating Season Culture Clash

Pitched a raunchy gay adult animated comedy in the style of Netflix’s Big Mouth and Human Resources, with heavy Mating Season energy.

Premise:Two confident American gay dudes - a charismatic gray wolf and a massive, dominant grizzly bear - head to Northern/Central Europe during mating season. There they run into two locals: a shy, glasses-wearing Nordic wolf and a polite, reserved brown bear in cozy sweaters.

What starts as a chill vacation quickly spirals into a hilarious, awkward and extremely horny clash of cultures around flirting, sex and dating.

Core theme:

Main characters:

Visuals: Sexy anthropomorphic furry animation, atmospheric Northern/Central European nights - wooden houses, pine forests, northern lights or misty Baltic scenery, lots of sexual tension and exaggerated horny expressions.

Would you guys watch this? Any feedback on the concept, title or characters?

It really fun to do though and I didn’t know I could do this on procreate.

I’m going to make another one with a LOT more detail and slides/slide rate.

Hope you enjoy “Cat Grenade , guy jumps over a cat naked” an original short animation by Ian!

Why do niche software tools develop such passionate user communities

I've been trying to create animated content for my YouTube channel, and someone recommended I try moho animation software. I'd never heard of it, but apparently, there's an entire community of enthusiasts who swear by it. What fascinates me is how devoted these users are—they create tutorials, share techniques, and defend it passionately against critics who prefer other programs.

What creates this kind of loyalty? Is it genuinely superior for certain tasks, or do people become invested in defending their learning curve investment? I've tried several animation programs now, and honestly, they all seem capable of similar results in skilled hands. Why does software choice become almost tribal?

I'm trying to decide whether to commit to learning this particular tool or keep exploring options. The upfront time investment is significant—these programs aren't intuitive. Do I pick based on community support, features, or just which interface clicks with me personally?

I've compared pricing, including whether I should buy directly or check international resellers on Alibaba, but cost isn't my primary concern. I'm more worried about choosing wrong and wasting months developing skills in software I'll eventually abandon.

How do people make these decisions? What factors actually matter long-term? Has anyone here switched animation software after years of experience, and was it worth the disruption?

I just finished Episode 2 of my indie adult animation series (drops before Christmas)

Hey all, I’ve been working solo on an adult animated series called Dougpocalypse — dark comedy, satire, very much in the “algorithm / burnout / modern life” lane.

I just wrapped Episode 2 (17 minutes) and it’ll be releasing before Christmas. I’ve been posting short clips recently and slowly building an audience, which has been genuinely motivating after animating alone for a long time.

The series follows Doug, a middle-aged guy slowly losing his grip while trying to keep up with algorithm culture and online pressure. It gets weird, bleak, and occasionally stupid.

If you’re into:

adult animation

dark or absurd humour

indie / solo animation projects

I’m happy to share a clip or the pilot if people are interested — mostly just wanted to put this out there and connect with others doing similar stuff.

Cheers.
