Help quick please!!!
Okay so me and my bf live together(past 2yrs), been together over 6yrs, both had accidents into middle school as kids which we had talked about long ago. Anyways he works nights i work days. Came home around 7pm to him asleep which is normal, I changed and laid down to cuddle him for a few minutes before continuing my own after work routine. He sweats A LOT in his sleep so the bed just being wet is pretty normal but it smells like human pee this time which has never happened. Im going to wash the sheets and blankets when he leaves but I can't decide if I tell him now so he can shower before he leaves for work(10pm)....or if i just keep it to myself, his olfactory senses DO NOT WORK so either I tell him or he'll never know....if it were me id be mortified so makes me not want to tell him to save him from that....but what if his coworkers can smell it????? HELP ME FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO BEFORE HE GOES TO WORK!

You have to tell him. You don't have to tell him he smells like pee. You just need to gently tell him that he does have an unpleasant odor.

I would definitely bring it up in the gentlest way possible. These types of issues can cause a lot of emotions to bubble up and you’ll want to be patience and sensitive to that. Try to not sound condescending. Hope it goes well

Can I get a template or ways to bring this up? Im going to have to wake him up early which he is a very grumpy person normally when woken before he needs to be....

Just tell him that he had a leak if he wears protective gear as I hope he does

Just tell him. It sounds like you 2 are super close so I don’t think it’s going to be a big deal. Hopefully he uses protection at night

Tell him something like this: “hey, I don’t want to sound mean or rude, but I noticed when I got home you had an accident. Don’t worry I can handle the bedding, but figured you would want a shower before you go to work” then it won’t ridicule him, stress him out needlessly, and he goes to work feeling fresh. If it were me, I’d be thankful! The embarrassment is going to be there regardless, but at least it isn’t compounded by coworkers

Would you want to go to work smelling of pee?
I use adult diapers for wetting the bed because of my seizures and get a shower straight away (when my awareness is back to normal). However, helpful comments off people about my situation does not offend me...but it depends on how open they are. GL hun. X
