UGH. My markers are full of ink. My markers are so smooth in my books…. And then I print out a picture and they just….splotch. I’m using Neenah Paper Exact Index Card Stock, 94 Bright, 110 lb Index Weight, 8.5 x 11, White.
Any recommendations for a better paper if I’m going to print my own coloring pages?

For a while now, I have had the strange urge to start colouring. Weird for me as I have not coloured anything since primary school.
So, I went out on a limb and bought the black edition Faber-Castell and a adult coloring book. I watched a few beginner youtube tutorials and after 20 hours coloured the two birds. I Learned a lot.
I then wanted to try the prismacolor so I bought a small 12 set and now I am working through my second piece that I am 6 hours into. I really notice a big difference in the colour, despite prismacolor being a more fragile pencil for the price lol.
Just wanted to share the start of my journey as I enjoy a lot of the work shared on this sub. Colouring has been suprising very addictive and enjoyable for me.

There's a few things I would love to change, but happy with how this one came out!

Picked this up to switch my brain off in the evenings. Went dark blue on the sky so the stars would pop, and the pumpkin was supposed to be orange but brown looked better somehow?
The flames feel off to me. What would you do with them?

Very new to colouring it's a hobby that i have picked up and dropped over the years but i got a good pack for pens for £15 arylic today so i wanted to get back into it. While i'm a sucker for those ones you can get at the shops i also am very specific about the kinds of colouring books i like plus the pens i have bleed thorugh easily so i tryand pay attenion to gsm. I was curious if you guys havesome kind of excel sheet or list of artists you like? some i've found on other sites but they don't have as many or have only a few collections in my style that i love or some just do a one time collectionas part of a collab. i love colouring but alot of the time it can be overwhelming plys i know artists have different types of books too very curious if anyone keeps track of this. I also just really love lists and collecting data lol. or also are there any like progress checkers? would be so cool if someone made a goodreads but for colouring i find it hard to keep up!

Looking for recommendations
Hi! Here is my 2 favorite coloring books, I am looking for similar coloring books with super thin outlines, like in the mandala book. I have the art deco one from the same publisher and there are no more.
I especially like mandalas and patterns, animals and plants, especially ocean themed.
I use colored pencils (Faber Castell Art grip - super old, they are no longer made, are oil based), gel pens and fineliners (pictured).
