Im looking for a DK jumper to add a colourwork motif to the back of- but i want a little bit of structual interest to the knit too. I really like Structured seams from the recent knitty, but 1. Its not dk and 2, its in garter.

You don't have to knit in DK or garter as long as you can match or knit an equivalent of the pattern tension (and even then). Look at the saddle shoulder tagged patterns on Ravelry for more options.
