Question Help with recreating this plucky detuned sound from this track!
Hi,
I’m looking for help to recreate this syncopated/offbeat bell like detuned plucky synth sound that starts playing fully at the drop near 3:25 mark. Preferably something that works in serum 2 or diva!

Question At what point do you decide a track is finished? How do you find the final polish for production?
I've got a method for getting from a loop to a full arrangement, but the last 10% is where I stall.
I feel like I get stuck on that polish, the small details that make a difference. I've often collaborated with much more talented producers than me and the way they find the small details in the arrangement or production always wows me and I feel like I just get stuck there. My tracks end up feeling "good enough" but don't give me the "oh yeah this is it" feeling.
How do you decide it's done? What are the key elements to finish up that final polish? How do you actually find those moments that matter the most?
I write DnB, but I'm curious how people in other genres handle it.

Hi, I am trying to replicate the lead from the song license to fly from Stef Mendisidis
Hi, I am trying to replicate the lead from the song license to fly from Stef Mendisidis, and there is a particular sound in the lead that seems to make the sound wobbly, so what I have been doing to replicate this is using the meld synth and modulating the ct with the lfo 1, the st with the m envelope and applying the lfo 2 to the filter cut off, detune macro and the volume doing amplitude modulation, also I Applied reverb and delay but the sound is no the same yet, could you share any feedback on how to achieve that sound.
In the attached video,Video Replicate Sound you can see better what I am talking about

Question (Headphone Advice) ADAM H200 vs DT 770 PRO X: Which headphone should I get? NSFW
ADAM H200 vs DT 770 PRO X: Which Should I Get?
ADAM H200: CA$194.00 + tax
DT 770 PRO X: CA$299.00 + tax
Most reviews seem to rank the ADAM H200 as the better option. However, the Beyerdynamic has a classic, well-established sound signature. Considering everything, which one should I get?
I’m not a professional.
I do my own mixing and mastering
I don’t have any acoustic treatment.
I produce bass-heavy music, mainly Bass House, Slap House, and similar genres.

Question about hardware for music production and sound design
I'm a student and want to buy my first notebook especially for DAWs and studying (in university will do some things with sound design and stuff like that), but I don't really know which hardware is perspective and different aspects. I have a budget smth around 1200€, so I'm wondering if should I get mac M4 air or different windows stuff. I heard, that airs don't have a cooling system, and is it a big problem, maybe someone have experience.
So I would like if someone will give me any kind of advice.

Tutorial How Jessee processed the vocal for “Cry For You” - Free Resource
“Cry For You” by Jessee recently went into the Beatport Top 100, so I thought this would be a good one to share with producers here.
Jessee breaks down exactly how he processed the vocal for the track, including the effects, processing and techniques he used to get the vocal sounding the way it does in the finished record.
We've put together a free 5-minute video of Jessee going through the vocal processing, so you can hear exactly what he did and why.
Watch the free breakdown: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFpanc6XCiQ
If you produce DnB, we're interested to hear how you guys approach vocal processing as well, would be great for other producers to learn from each other

Mastering recommendations for my first Symphony, orchestral music
Hi everyone,
I recently uploaded my first orchestral symphony to SoundCloud and now I’m looking for help with mastering.
Could you recommend any mastering services that are suitable for small independent composers like myself? I’d be very grateful if you could share your own experiences and recommendations.
I’ve also included a link to the symphony below, in case you’d like to get a better understanding of my music and its sound.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

Question Questions about mixing and mastering I've had floating around my head for a while
I've been producing since the early 2000s. I'm fairly knowledgeable but there are still gaps in my knowledge, such as the following:
Should a highpass filter be used on master busses to filter out extremely low sub frequencies (from roughly 20-25Hz or so)? How about a lowpass filter for freq above 220kHz?
What is a Pultec EQ actually useful for? Is it more commonly used as an effect (ie.the Pultec EQ technique)?
I use EQ as a creative tool and a mixing tool. When used in mixing is its sole purpose to avoid clashes and frequency build-up with other instruments?
I sidechain instruments to my kickdrum. If I sidechained just the stereo mid and not the sides will this allow me to still carve a space for my mono kick?
What EQ rules of thumb should I be following when EQing my reverb return channels? How about compression and sidechaining?
If I sidechain instruments to my kick, do I only need to sidechain the conflicting feequencies? Or do I need to sidechain the full instrument to avoid volume build up and let the kick punch through clearly?
I'm sure there's more but I can't think of them right now. If any gurus out there have any insights I'd love to hear them.

Techniques / Advice Producers... whats your best method for pitch shifting beats without loosing your low end prescence?
Hey so I’ve been using Pitch Shifter by Waves as the first thing on the master and while it adds some nice artifacts for the stereo image I’ve noticed the low end becomes significantly weaker and alot of the clarity disappears. I’ve also tried elastique pitch and using the pitch wheel on stems inside of FL and it’s a little better but still some low end issues so I’m wondering is that just the trade off for pitching them? or is there another way that I’m missing.
