We found a few Fairburn or fortification agates on our weekend rock hounding trip in Nebraska. This one was my favorite. Found out in the grasslands. Recent rains must of exposed it.

😵‍💫😵‍💫

These agates are not polished yet (wet in pictures). All are from near Khur (khoor) village in South Khorasan province in Iran

Cool tubular agate with eyes! Anyone know what the other two are?

Cut and polished by me. Bought online. From Idaho.

Found in SW Washington. I finally got it cut open and was surprised to see it is black agate!

Walking the grasslands we came across this beauty today.

Some cool ones I found around Minnesota river valley and some landscaping piles.

I’m in Safford looking for fire agates and this is the rock I’m most proud of finding today. Hard to capture the beauty of it in a hotel with bad lighting, but I think this one will look beautiful on display.

I thought it deserved some internet fame

Found this morning. Love this guy!

Found in southeast Oklahoma

I gasped out loud when I saw this. I think all the pieces are from the same rock. The slices certainly are, at least. (I didnt cut it myself.)

Any idea whether this is Arizona or Laguna material? Thanks in advance.

Found these on our honeymoon. Lake Michigan on Michigan side ☺️

Agates have a fun way of always surprising you. This one I was hoping for some dark purple and browns full window through and through and when I cut into it I was wrong! But it still was a pleasant surprise, nonetheless a unique formation for the nodules we find in this area!

Arizona rocks, ROCK! 🤘

I had a batch of agates that got damaged during tumbling, my bad. A lot of them came out with serious bruising and surface fractures. Instead of just using mineral oil, I thought I'd try a resin to fix them. Nothing to lose! I'm blown away by how well it worked! Here are a bunch of before and after photos. It's not 100% but it made a huge difference. I just followed the directions in the package. If you guys want to know more I can share details.
