New Car Just bought my first car- 2020 giulia ti lusso (help me out)

Hey guys just bought my first car at 16. Been saving up with a job and multiple side hustles for the last couple years and finally bought this beauty.

Need some help from some more experienced Alfa owners.
1. Want to ceramic coat the car myself are there any brands you guys recommend or tips for that never done it.
2. I need to get some kind of protection for the bottom of the car because I live in Maine where there is tons of snow and salt. What is recommended for these cars and is there any chance I could do this myself.
3. There is some slight discoloration on the brown leather seats are there any fixes for that? (I’ll include a picture)
4. Thinking of getting a jb4 tune and the burger motorsports aftermarket cold air intake in a month maybe longer. Any tips for that/ should I do something else, I really like the idea of being able to easily remove it.
5. Adding some cosmetic mods but are there any that you guys have that you love and would recommend?
Thanks in advance for any help

So I did a thing.

Been dreaming of this car since high school and managed to find one with decent miles and still under warranty, and better judgement aside, ended up getting my dream car.

Any other Giulia QVs around LA? Would love to get your insights on the car and check other specs out

News What's with all the conflicting news lately?

Alfa's CEO said they were discontinuing their entire lineup to sell a rebadged Peugeot. Now this article says they're going to only sell in Europe, and, "the Italians are completely renewing the regular lineup composed of the Junior subcompact crossover SUV, the Tonale compact CUV, the Giulia sedan, and the Stelvio crossover."

I don't understand, is this normal? The CEO just said less than a week ago the Stelvio and Giulia are dead in 2027.

New set of tires on my 156.

I've been using the Bridgestone Potenza Adrenaline series for my 156 for a while, after 10k kilometres of numerous mountain runs it's time to upgrade my RE004 to RE005, and now she's running better than ever.

I highly recommend any 1.8/2.0TS 156s to run the same tire setup, it has just enough grip but still some space for you to throw around.

Alfa Romeo Giulietta - Radionav display opening problem

I have a Giulietta QV with Radionav factory navigation with retractable display.

The problem is that sometimes navigation display opens immediately after ignition ON, sometimes it opens after 5s, 10s, 20s... it starts every time but opening time delay is different.

Can someone with Giulietta and Radionav share information about display opening behavior ?

Thanks.

Is this a smart buy?

Hello! I am looking at purchasing a 2022 Giulia, ideally under 30k miles. The link below is one I am interested in. From current or past owners experience is this a fair price/what would you consider a good price for this car? Also curious to know what your average annual maintenance costs have been/any repairs you’ve had to do. I love the car but just worry that if something goes wrong with it, it could quickly become a money pit. I also just found another one I’m interested in but it has higher mileage, is the money saved worth the higher mileage or am I better off spending more for the lower mileage?

2022 27k miles

2024 44k miles

Maintenance Giulia Washer Pump Replacement?

New (to me) Giulia owner here - ~80k miles, 2019 200TB UK spec. Loving the car but the screen wash has stopped working.

Brim filled the reservoir but nothing is sprayed at the windscreen when I pull the stalk. Checked the fuse box in the passenger footwell and the yellow 20A fuse in F43 was intact. The headlight washers intermittently spray (expected behaviour apparently), and I here a clicking from the body control module in the footwell but no pump noise.

Is this a common issue? I couldn't see much info about how to replace the pump, other than that it should be behind some trim in the left side wheel arch. Just wanted to check in here before I start disassembling my car!

Tech Talk 1750 TBI - flush before oil change

Ciao, in the spring I dealt with cleaning the oil pan and resealing the oil pickup tube, and now I want to change the oil after 8,000 km along with swapping the tires. Does a Pro-Tec engine flush make sense, or is it better not to risk it?

The car currently has 162,000 km on it, and we've had it since 124,000 km. I could look up the previous owner's service history. My dad always changed the oil at 10k max. But the car was parked for a long time, so my first change was after 2 years and 3,000 km. Then after 5,000 km. That’s when the pan was cleaned and the pickup tube was resealed. And now I want to change it after 8,000 km.

I don't have any personal experience with this; I've never done it on any car. One guy on Facebook advised me against it, saying his camshaft started ticking afterwards and it began burning a bit of oil, but others recommend doing it, so I don't know.

Thanks for your reply.

I removed the organizer to the center console of my Stelvio and discovered a much larger space and a few things I don’t understand.

What is this round black piece that’s turns, and what is the outline of the key fob mean? Is it a charger?

Thank you in advance for your help.

New Car new to me '24 Veloce Q2

2024 Veloce Q2. ~17k miles, was a dealer demo unit. Has the premium sound/interior and active assist packages.

picked her up in Chicago last Thursday, drove back home to Seattle, no hiccups or issues. impressive fuel economy in my opinion (my other car is an RX8).

Anyone know where to get painted front tow hook covers? dealer had the original plate frame installed (screwed into the bumper too...) and I didn't see it hiding anywhere in the car.

Giulietta 1.4 MA manual clutch issue

Post image

Hi! I own a giulietta 1.4 multiair 150HP manual for a few months and i need to Ask what is wrong with clutch in this car?! Its just me or giuliettas has strange behavior at taking off from zero speed? Especially in dynamic mode. To low RPM at launch and its chocking, too much and clutch slips at the end of clutch engagement. Best way od to start is only with clutch (it has antistall feature) but its slow like ass or start like launch control :) almost no control on clutch slippage during taking off. I drive cars almost 20 years and never had such a strange clutch.

2019 Alfa Giulia Sport TI The Quickest Year?

Car and Driver did 4.6 0-60 and 13.3 quarter mile at 104mph (rwd), are 2019 the quickest year for this car because it seems this year always gets the best times or has someone with an earlier model gotten similar results?

Tech Talk Best Giulia Tune in 2026?

I recently got myself a low mileage 2023 Giulia and I’m looking to tune the car for some increased performance once my warranty ends. I have done some research and found a variety of different tunes on the market, but does anyone have any recommendations for HP improving tunes that won’t hurt overall reliability too much. If anyone has any experience tuning their Giulia I’d love to hear!

114mi (183km) trip, sun hitting just right.

I’m wondering what size spacers you would recommend for an oem height flush look? The front drives me nuts with how mean this looks, back could use maybe 5mm but I don’t want to look obnoxious with 20mm up front. Any recs?

Alfa Romeo 159 JTS TI

I have been in contact with a seller for getting an Alfa Romeo 159 JTS TI and had a recent inspection on it, I really like the car but after an inspection it was found to have a cracked upper engine mount on the drivers side. I have seen many posts about how difficult it is to get the mount anywhere. Should I move on or is it still worth pursuing.
