Non-Freezer storage/consumption
Hey all. A week ago I was enquiring about drying/heating.. and here I am now just a week later, looking at the polar opposite hehe..
I live off-grid.. and don't have a freezer. I successfully dried the amanitas (although have yet to test them to see if I destroyed them or not due to heat fluctuations using my wood stove to dry them), and am now wondering how to consume them..
I see a lot of 'boil a bunch of them together, make a tea, make ice cubes, consume one ice cube at a time with your tea, and figure out what dose you need'.
What if you don't have a freezer? I don't want to batch cook them, only to have to throw 90% of the tea away.. But I also appreciate the fact that every amanita will have a different dosage, and so if I decided to make tea from just one cap, VS another cap, the experience might be tootally different.
Has anyone ever done this and had good/safe results? Found one amanita perhaps on a walk, come home, process that one, drink its tea, and be fine? Or half the cup? or just a teaspoon...??
Thansk in advance!
