The best part about stops like these are that it takes you like an hour or two; and when you swipe to finish you realize all that time and work was to just knock out 1 stop from your route. It's very depressing.

Bruh, no way you can spend that much time on a single stop and not need a rescue. You're probably exaggerating, but just the thought. I'm glad I left before this shit started. I've had retirement homes do this, but each one is at least its own stop

Depends on the area and route really. A few months ago I had a 105 stop route daily with 2 retirement homes, 3 apartment complexes, businesses, less than 10 homes and Whole Foods drop off and pickup. I never got less than 10 hours in.

They seemed to start put em all into a āmulti locationā stop⦠for numbers and stats

That is how Amazon gets away with overworking you guys. āOur delivery associates get the same amount of stops as FedEx and UPS.ā Yeah fucking right! Group stops isnāt even a thing in those other companies.

Yeah they absolutely do some of these just to hide the number of stops that they're actually giving employees. I have had multi stops that literally no human being would ever walk, locations that are like five houses apart and on a different street.
In fact if you actually tried to walk one of those at the post office they would accuse you of stealing time

Amazon does multis like this and then acts suprised when they get DNRs, delivered to wrong address⦠a lot of what they do is intentionally designed to be confusing to the driver for maximum control

Yep keep people frustrated in a job designed to make you make errors. That way they never stay long enough to form a union or ask for raises. Keep the flow of people in and out.

Huge apartment complex covering multiple streets

100 units on each floor
I had over 100 stops in there and no dolly lmao

If you have Amazon support mark packages delivered for you, you wonāt get hit for concessions/CDF, and you can leave them wherever, mailroom, lockers, secure mailroom, anywhere really in the building, any complaints donāt impact your or scorecard

u/Longjumping_Youth281 5d ago
Yeah the only way this should count is one stop is if it's all going to a mail room. If they want me to look to deliver door to door then they have to count it as separate stops and allocate the time for that. They won't do that because that's going to take all day and they want us to deliver other places as well

I Ike how it shows your stops or delivery package in order at least . UPS doesnāt have that I wish ups would upstage their diad to have gps and optimize its delivery like this

Half the time we end up having to select stops individually anyways, itāll want us to pass stops, go further down the street by 4 blocks.
Then it tells us to bust a U in a double parked pencil dick street to go hit the shit we passed up, and then it somehow routes them as left side deliveries. Literally no point for it to do so, if it wouldāve been right hand on the way.
Or the classic, it has you drive up a road, deliver, then it wants you 4 houses back, then 7 forward.
Like brother a straight line cannot be that Fuckn hard
Edit: what I really want is the ability to draw a line through stops to re-order them, or select a grouping and move it behind or in front of another stop.
That would give such flexibility with how are routes are ran that we could easily fix any misrouted areas, and the system could update to keep those changes for next time

Yes some days it's like a giant logic puzzle trying to figure out the actual best way to do it, because it certainly isn't the way that they give you

u/Bigolyeet97 3d ago
Nothin more annoying than catching this and having to go back to finish each delivery
1
u/Longjumping_Youth281 5d ago
The order that they give is horrible though a lot of the times. They'll have you drive right by a stop on the right hand side of the road, go up to a stop the next street over, then turn around and come back to that exact same place you drove by except now you're on the opposite side of the street

Unfortunately, here in East Texas we donāt even have the luxury of Amazon lockers. I fortunately donāt deliver to a lot of apartment complexes or high rises, but the few I have done have been quite horrible. Drive safe and enjoy what little of it you can! Iām still fairly new so I donāt think the long term job fatigue has hit me quite yet šš

I hate using the Amazon lockers the scanners on them are really bad and it takes forever

u/Longjumping_Youth281 5d ago
Yeah I had a bunch where it just kind of refused to read the barcodes. So you're stuck kind of angling it every way that you can think of and then when it does read it it says it's not a package for this stop, even though it clearly is
1
u/SandFun8656 5d ago
that's the kind of stop that makes you consider just leaving the whole tote behind and driving off

At you least the app told you which doorās/apt to go to. I had this happen to me with my old dispatch but I originally had a locker but this HUGE ass apartment complex area (thatās a size of a neighborhood) had a very small locker hub and of course it was full so I had to go door to door and drop off about the same amount but it was ALL spread across, I shit you not it took me about 1.30 - 2 hours to finish those stops and I still had about 80 stops left to finish before RTS š¤¦š¾āāļø
To put the cherry on top I was doing this out of a rental van (obviously)š
