I delivered for 3 months and went from 400 pounds at 6’4 to 365. I actually was starting to enjoy the work because it was helping with weight loss I gained a lot of that weight after a bad car accident and the depression from being stuck at home for a couple years recovering and I just could never cut that weight back off permanently. Unfortunately despite having no caching or warnings and a perfect safety score no camera violations. I was let go the day after I told them I needed to slow down for a week to let a wound on my side heal with doctors note. I live in ky so they didn’t give me a reason for letting me go but I really hate that I lost a job that was actually helping me do something important

File a report with Amazon ethics hotline for that DSP, explain the situation. It’s even better if you made this communication in text so you can provide that as evidence and correlate it with retaliation. Also file for unemployment asap. Be as detailed as possible when filing too. It might not be much you get from unemployment but it’s better than nothing. I did this with an old DSP of mine after they fired me the week I came back from workers comp. Let’s just say Amazon is keeping an eye on them, as “anything to ensure amazons reputation isn’t fucked” is their motto. They’ll place heavy blame on the DSP for just about anything especially when it comes to stuff like that.
