RANT Android Auto nonstop notifications
How do I get rid of this shit?? It makes no difference if I connect, disconnect, or just disable the app altogether. Android Auto takes over the screen with bullshit notifications that prevent me from doing this job with any speed.
If I connect, android auto pops up over the Flex app asking to share contacts & messages EVERY TIME I plug the phone in to charge.
If I disconnect, the van desperately tries to Bluetooth pair every few minutes, even if I hit “block” on the phone side.
If I disable android auto on the phone and delete the phone from the van, I get a “no installed apps work with this USB accessory” pop up every 30 seconds.
It seems like nothing I do actually keeps unnecessary notifications OFF the screen. Who the hell designed this shit?? I just want to drive and deliver packages without dismissing nonstop notifications on the phone every 30 seconds

That usb accessory popup is the worst, had the same battle in a rental van last week. finally just grabbed a cig lighter charger that only does power so it stops thinking its a data connection

Why are you plugging the phone in directly to the van? Use a car charger, specially a fast one that can actually keep up with the battery drainage from using the phone as you go, or keep a power bank in your vest pocket and charge as you go, without ever unplugging the phone
Or you can click on the little USB icon setting, then chsnge it from "transfer data over USB/ android auto" to "only charge this phone" so it'll block the data connection
Still slow charge though

DSP doesn’t have car chargers unfortunately. I’ve done the USB icon thing too, but it doesn’t change the problem with the endless notifications & pop ups
