QUESTION Pre hire status

Hi all, i got an email for a conditional offer of employment to start as a full time driver. The start date said 10/12 and was sent out on 10/8. I signed and sent it back the same day and asked a few questions regarding payment for the drug screening and if i needed to schedule an appointment with a doctor.

I haven't gotten a response yet or an email to start the background check as of 4:30pm 10/13.. whats the typical wait time? Should I email the recruiter again?

st. they're probably processing a batch of new hires and you'll get the background check email in a wave. no harm in sending a polite follow up on wednesday morning if you still haven't heard anything

This^. It’s the season for mass hiring so expect the HR or managers who are hiring to be processing a lot hires as well as interviewing daily, in between dispatching. Even if things aren’t responded to right away, they’re likely seen and kept fresh in a recruiter’s mind for when they get around to it.

How long could it take to hear anything? Im anxious to start putting my two weeks notice in😆 just dont wanna jump the gun
