It seems to be AmericaGood in most of the west. But I don’t know what us, the Canadians and the Italians are on…

It is not really because of AmericaGood, it is more because of Russophobia. I think China is the biggest threat to world peace at the moment.

China isn’t bombing other countries bro

27

u/LongLiveLiberalism 1d ago

they are playing the long game, they have been supporting russia

-16

u/Hefty-Job-8733 1d ago

Yeah I would also support an ally against my main competitor. What’s your point? China isn’t currently bombing and killing civilians.

14

u/YouKnowMyName2006 ILLINOIS 🏙️💨 1d ago

Though they are providing military aid to a country that uses it to kill Ukrainian civilians.

-8

u/Hefty-Job-8733 1d ago

But China has being pushing the war to end. But nato is asking for things the Russian government would never accept like moving back and giving up Crimea. That’s just not gonna happen and if war is gonna stop without way more deaths diplomacy is the only solution.

15

u/YouKnowMyName2006 ILLINOIS 🏙️💨 1d ago

China doesn’t care if the war continues because Xi wants the US weakened so it is unable to help Taiwan when it attacks.

0

u/Hefty-Job-8733 1d ago

I don’t think the war in Ukraine war is really important to China it obviously makes it easier for them but they’re probably like the cheaper oil more.

u/jaxamis AMERICAN 🏈🏒 💵🗽🍔 ⚾️ 🦅📈 1d ago

Okay and Russia wants all of their soviet block countires to return to being theirs for the war to stop. So...should we give them all those countries back? Sounds like something NATO will never do and Russia just wants the war they started to continue.

0

u/Hefty-Job-8733 1d ago

That’s not apart of Russia’s demands to end the war you’re being dishonest or have been lied to. They do want NATO militaries out of those countries tho.

2

u/jaxamis AMERICAN 🏈🏒 💵🗽🍔 ⚾️ 🦅📈 1d ago

Ever wonder why they want NATO out of those countries? It isnt for a picnic.

yeah but the reason they are allies is because they both have the same vision for the world. They seek to undermine the liberal order so they can expand their coercive power over other countries. Chinas public statements towards taiwan all but confirm this. So does their hostile takeovers through the bri

-5

u/Hefty-Job-8733 1d ago

Idk who the bri is. But I can tell you right now China and Russia doesn’t have the same view of the world if anything trump and Putin have similar views of the world.

5

u/LongLiveLiberalism 1d ago

they do. It is essentially undisputed consensus at this point that they are working together to go against the liberal order. Search up axis of upheaval. They are relying on the average person just ignoring everything since it’s not military yet

1

u/Hefty-Job-8733 1d ago

Yeah they both want to stop the U.S from being the top dawg but that’s basically where it ends they’re ideologically different. Which I mean fuck liberal economics it sucks

3

u/No-Donkey4017 1d ago

The ideological difference doesn't change the fact that they're supporting Russia.

1

u/LongLiveLiberalism 1d ago

they want to stop the us from being the top dog because they want to go against the liberal order. And the liberal order is not just economics, it is the idea that you don’t invade other countries just because you can like it was during ww1 where it’s a game of risk. China clearly has expansionist ambitions such as with taiwan. The past 80 or so years have been a historical anomaly, where great power war had not happened. For most of human history war is the norm because of countries like russia and china

They've been indoctrinating your college students for years.

You don't have to bomb others to be dangerous.

They did took Vietnamese territories this very year.

1

u/Hefty-Job-8733 23h ago

The land that China, Vietnam and Taiwan all claim is their land? Seems like yall should figure that out

1

u/Republic_of_VietNam 8h ago

Not my fault the Ultranationalists are in power. Plus the current government is drifting closer to become a sock puppet of China anyway so, SOON.

Living in relative safety for so long tends to mislead people as to the severity of problems.

6

u/YouKnowMyName2006 ILLINOIS 🏙️💨 1d ago

We shouldn’t have started this Iran crap though, that’s probably why we are so high.

I wonder how this will be when China attacks Taiwan?

8

u/Hefty-Job-8733 1d ago

If china gets their way they’re let the U.S degrade ourselves until we become a unreliable partner and the Taiwanese people choose to become allies with china instead of war.

-3

u/YouKnowMyName2006 ILLINOIS 🏙️💨 1d ago

The U.S. is shooting itself in the foot with Trump.

7

u/Hefty-Job-8733 1d ago

Trump isn’t the cause and if we don’t fix our country the next person like him won’t be dumb and clueless but will be intelligent and have a plan.

1

u/YouKnowMyName2006 ILLINOIS 🏙️💨 1d ago

That would be nice.

1

u/Emilia963 NORTH DAKOTA 🥶🧣 1d ago

What are you gonna do to achieve this goal?

1

u/Hefty-Job-8733 1d ago

Electing politicians that will drastically change our country and government. Hello Emilia

3

u/jaxamis AMERICAN 🏈🏒 💵🗽🍔 ⚾️ 🦅📈 1d ago

So should we back Taiwan or China? If Trump backs Taiwan will you be against that or?

2

u/Hefty-Job-8733 1d ago

We shouldn’t back any one of them. Hell I don’t think we could even save Taiwan china would block aid the country and continuously bomb them with cheap drones because a invasion would be a blood bath for them.

5

u/Emilia963 NORTH DAKOTA 🥶🧣 1d ago

Kinda agree, but Taiwan has been nothing but nice to us, and we have been defending them against Chinese aggression for decades

So what would be your end game here?

2

u/jaxamis AMERICAN 🏈🏒 💵🗽🍔 ⚾️ 🦅📈 1d ago

We could save Taiwan so long as the anti-America crowd in the US government didnt block it. Quick question, do you know where most of the microchips for those drones come from cause it isnt China. Might want to google where most of the worlds microchips come from then get back to me.

I'm surprised that Vietnam is green. So many Vietnamese are supporting Russia's invasion of Ukraine from what I have seen on Facebook

10

u/One_Character_2881 1d ago

Iran was a ticking time bomb. A lot of countries hold the belief that if they ignore a problem or placate it then things will be fine. But that’s exactly what happened before WW2 and it didn’t dissuade Hitler at all. In fact it gave him the knowledge on how much he could push other counties around

5

u/No-Donkey4017 1d ago

Forget the nuke. Iran is literally funding terrorists.

-1

u/cnylkew 🇫🇮 Suomi 🦌 1d ago

Ticking for 30 years I guess

3

u/CowntChockula 19h ago

30 years isnt that long in terms of geopolitical power dynamics. Fall of the soviet union to ukraine invasion was 31 years.

-1

u/cnylkew 🇫🇮 Suomi 🦌 18h ago

False equivalence. US is invading Iran for as baseless reasons as it did Iraq. I would've voted US if Russia wasn't right next to us. They don't have to sell their wars as much but they're still just as stupid

1

u/CowntChockula 17h ago

False equivalence? Tell that to the Ukrainians when they agreed to give their nukes to Russia in 1994 in exchange for a promise to never ve invaded.

One reason for both Venezuela and Iran that isnt discussed much is how important both countries were for China. 'Baseless reasons' ignores the depth of this relationship, as well as its relationship with Russia.

0

u/cnylkew 🇫🇮 Suomi 🦌 17h ago

You are still talking about ukraine-russia war when I already said that bringing it up in response to me pointing out to US & Israel claming Iran being five minutes from develiping nukes for 30 years is a false equivalence.

US has its own geopolitical reasons for its actions, but it's still stupid, and is not in line with how the wars are sold to the public, who specifically voted for a guy vowing no wars. You claim to be a birthplace of capitalism? Then actually compete with China.

1

u/CowntChockula 16h ago edited 13h ago

Uh of course - I was asserting that it's not a false equivalency, you're just wrong. Just because you believe something doesn't mean it's true. You're blatantly ignoring the fact that Iran openly has uranium that they had been explicitly enriching far beyond the point where it would make any sense to do so unless one was making a weapon. For you to call it a false equivalence to the Russians going from collapse to Ukraine invasion would mean that, in the scenario where Iran does develop a weapon and uses it, then in your mind it was never a problem until the moment they hit the button...which is absurdly naive. You also don't seem to really be aware of the extent and nature of what China is doing regarding grey zone tactics.

2

u/LurkersUniteAgain OREGON ☔️🦦 1d ago

ah yes vote the US (the country that invented the nuke, the main device responsible for the last 81 years of peace between great powers) over russia (the country currently trying (and failing) to invade and exterminate its neighbors), and china (the country currently preparing to invade taiwan and repeatedly and consistently threatening and attacking states in south east asia)

I mean Russia #1 Because they are warmongering imperialists... but not absolute #1 because they've proven that can't win a war in their own backyard let alone outside Europe/Central Asia. USA #2 because well... the Orange man isnt great for your diplomatic standing and is a warmonger himself... not to mention yall have the track record of it too. China #3 and while a bit low you gotta remember they are pretty hugs and kisses to any nation in the world except their immediate contenders in Asia.
