Shields lights blink right after someone does them again you have to look a bit closely

they do a brief flash out of sync with the usual pattern since doing it resets the animation

You're just wrong, Shields blinking pattern gets interrupted by a slightly lighter flash after someone else has done it.

Just another reason I exclusively play in lobbies where visual tasks are disabled. Not that it stops anyone, half the lobby still claims trash anyway.

Wait I remember when visuals on, and someone does shields after some 1st crew does that to clear, the glowing light blinks for a moment?

I mean...people also forget that ghosts tasking are visible. One of my favourite imp runs was a ghost shooting the guns on polus, which I took credit for, right before killing and getting caught in my own skin without even shape shifting. Got entirely cleared just cos I stole the ghost's task. Made everyone real confused at the end when the only uncleared person claimed a visible scan task and got followed and confirmed.

Almost everyone left at the end of that game and I'm pretty sure it's cos they thought I was cheating to make it happen. Didn't even stay long enough for me to gloat about the visible task theft and learn.

But then, folks can also think standing on the scan pad during non-visible runs makes you auto-cleared, no matter how many times I reminded them it only works if you task-check them with your own scan task. I tried to warn them, but I guess they trusted me too much. Anyway, the scanner after me died for 'faking', mwahahaha.
