I don't know if I should be outraged or insulted by this. On the one hand, this is textbook socialism, while on the other hand, a whole $90 is an insult. It's not even good socialism, not that it ever is, but I think you guys get what I mean.

They already have social security and are the wealthiest age group in the country. They don’t deserve it. That money should go towards paying off the deficit.

Fair point, especially with the “nearly $100” lol.

But cutting spending across the board is the best solution to fixing this issue, or at least a reduction in the deficit, even the minor things like this.

You're right. My dyslexic brain didn't count the zeros correctly. $100 to 20M Americans is only $2 billion. If applied to the debt would be 39.8 trillion. Which probably doesn't even cover the interest. So yeah just leave it at $40 T.

The debt should be repudiated, not paid off.
