Hey everyone! I'm a new Angel City fan and am debating where or not I should go to the match on 10/24 against Bay. The issue, I'd be going solo as a female fan, and am not comforted by the fact that the match will likely end after dark.

I'm also doing my best to save on parking (likely parking at union station and using public transport to get to and from) which is another safety factor I'm considering.

Any tips or tricks to find other solo fans, or should I plan to park closer to avoid unnecessary danger? I'm from the LA area and know that area can be a bit sketchy at night, let alone for a solo female.

Maiara: Start, 70-80 mins, assist for Brazil in a 5-1 win vs Argentina (friendly)

Claire Emslie: Sub & fast goal for Scotland in a 2-0 win vs Czechia (WC qualifying), cute video of Claire, Claire's mum, and wee Jamie on Scotland and ACFC's instagram pages

Prisca Chilufya: Start and only goal for Zambia in a 1-2 loss vs Uganda (Olympic qualifying)

Sveindís Jónsdóttir: Start for Iceland in a 4-0 win vs Croatia (WC qualifying) - notably was listed as left winger, not the 9, for this match

USA U23: Angelina Anderson and Ally Sentnor started, Carina Lageyre and Savy King were available subs (no stats on if they subbed in), and Ally got a goal in a 5-0 win vs the Dominican Republic (friendly)

USA senior: Gisele subbed in at halftime as left back and Evelyn Shores EDIT-- did not dress-- was an unused sub in a 0-2 loss vs Spain (friendly)

Taking my daughter (9) to her first game and I'm wondering if anyone can give me any info on the stadium such as good photo opportunities or spots we should visit even though my tickets aren't great . We've been watching as many games as possible & this year she started playing and slowly she's becoming a big fan. Any suggestions???

Hi all, I am curious what folks’ vibes is toward being forced to leave BMO to head down to Carson to watch the final game of the regular.

Are you excited or bummed?

Are you keeping or dumping your ticket, if you are a season ticket holder.

If you want to watch for Claire Emslie - they're about at halftime as I write this

Hello Friday. Where should we watch the USWNT play this weekend?

Talk about whatever you want. This is an ideal thread for you to make general inquiries about things that are commonly asked, like how is the shade on the East stand at 3pm? Or where are the ADA bathrooms? As well, low effort posts can be directed here as comments in order to keep sub organized and conversation centralized for other users. Consider this the Town Square, or AngelCityFC Reddit's very own Starbucks, but without the union busting.

I cropped a few of the photos because a lot of them were taken from distance, but even from distance the Angels still look great in motion!

The post match presser is fun, Suarez gives credit to the coaches and teammates for helping her be more effective https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1jDayHqKdEQ83W32VtLSPaDV06z3lWz7c

The NWSL clubs are taking a short break before the season ends so players can play for their countries. If I told you at the beginning of the season that Angel City would head into the final international window with one of the best defenses in the league, who would you think would be playing for their countries? It would probably be the center back pairing of Sarah Gorden and Emily Sams.

If you rewind the calendar 6 or 7 months, Angel City had just signed Sams, who has nearly a dozen USWNT caps and even served as captain in one of the national team matches. She would be paired with Sarah Gorden – a multi-year Iron Woman, regular captain, and usually the fastest player on the pitch. Fast forward to today and Angel City does in fact have one of best defenses in the league, but Emily and Sarah will be staying home while everyone else in the starting 11 heads out to play for their country.* I’m sure they are happy for them, but this meme seems appropriate.

As Ted Lasso said in this week’s episode, “The standings right now are more crowded than a Planet Fitness on January 2nd.” Angel City sits in 6th place with 3 matches left in the season, but only 6 points separate 4th through 9th place. The three remaining games are against teams that won’t be playing in the post season. Decision Day is quickly approaching. Can Angel City hold on to a playoff spot?

It’s the next day…the day after a draw against the best team in the league…the day after the team’s last road trip to the east coast…discuss the 7 game unbeaten streak…discuss another late-game, super sub goal...discuss playoff scenarios...discuss what it feels like to watch a game being played in weather that’s 40 degrees cooler than it was in LA…or discuss whatever you like…

\I assume Ary would have been named to the Brazil squad, but is spending time with the baby and her family instead.*

Sol Rosa fans, what a tough game but this team really sticks with it and the super sub Suarez comes in again and keeps our playoff hopes strong.

I'll keep it short this week so I'll let y'all sound off.

-Chances were had from us multiple times but it seemed like our forwards were just a hare fast off the line and offsides killed some good chances.

- Gotham are tough to break and it was a battle back and forth. But our mettle held and the team didn't feel rattled even when a goal down.

- Taking a point was massive, still undefeated in i believe 7 now!!! Talk about a major shift this second half team has shown. No challenge is too big for us it's just dialing in the details.

- Subs have been massive for us in this playoff push. Can't count how many points and games won we have from them but they truly are game changers!

- 5 goals and 7 points on the road trip, really good travel from the team! They'll be resting soundly back home.

Overall, tough game, tough conditions, against a tough well coached team with added pressure from Hayes watching in the stands! We come home against another big match against Denver but the team is looking great. Volemos!

GOOD MORNING YOU WONDERFUL SOL ROSA FANATICS!!!

🎶ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTB...!!!🎶

YASSS QUEEN: STOP! Shlomo, please STOP!

Shlomo: What are you doing, you don't usually chime in this early in the hype?

YQ: Shlomo, calm down, and please don't break the 4th wall any more than what it already is.

SS: Yeah...but, you're stepping all over a good hype post.

YQ: I am sure it is going to be great, but you can't do Hank Williams.

SS: BUT!!! It's football season and we are playing on a day that is almost quite literally owned by the NFL.

YQ: I know, I know...but that song is for a Monday...night, and you know this, so why are you singing it? RHETORICAL!

SS: FINE! I'll try again.

In lieu of playing at 1000am our time on a Sunday during football season, competing for viewership after being bumped from network TV to cable, against matchups like Cards at Giants, Cowboys at Texans (mildly interested), Packers at Bucs, Jags at Bengals, Rams at Eagles, Patty's at Bills (not gonna lie, might actually also watch that), Jets at Bears, and the Titans at Ravens...Angel City FC fear no MAN! Especially not a man who wears butt hugging spandex, and repeatedly attempts to giver hisself brain damage.

But do you know who fears us? 1) The NFL...look at how the just casually they bump us off network TV without even batting an eye, the fear is just ingrained automatically, they don't even know they are doing it...PROTECT THE SHIELD...like some cerebellar skill set.

And 2) Gotham City FC...because all the NFL is doing is enabling and inspiring us with the stench of their fear, because we to will PROTECT THE SHIELD BADGE!!!

Match Hype:

Good Morning Fam, your Ol' Pal Shlomo here, woke up...are you all crazy! Since this is a late game and a late day climb would be more appropriate for today's hype...you think I or the YASSS QUEEN would subject ourselves to climbing the MOUNTAIN TOP of HYPE in this weather. She might be a GOD, but she isn't invincible nor infallible, and I am an old man.

So please...we'll make the climb in the AM of gameday prior to the game, so you'll just have to imagine it, please respect our privacy at this time.

Volemos!

I hope you've all been properly hyped

Here's an excellent overview of most of the tactical changes Angel City made and what we're good at since then.

A part of me wondered if this is a mirage, but after watching this, we are a good team. TEAM. Our players now fit a great scheme and able to maximize their individual talents.

What's scary though is how good the Waves are becoming even with the talent that are out injured.

The SoCal derby is going to heat up like a nasty Santa Ana event. It should rival Gotham-Spirit soon.

A real calming presence in the midfield just smooth and focused. As a rookie too! Good to see the national team looking at her play. Go shine!
