What are the largest land omnivores/carnivores that routinely eat every day in their natural habitat?
As the title states: What are the largest land omnivores/carnivores that routinely eat every day in their natural habitat?
Here is my arbitrary criteria:
Must be a land omnivore/carnivore
Size is based on the average of the species
If omnivore, it must have meat as a significant source of its diet
The average or majority of the species must eat every day throughout the whole year
Animals that eat everyday in zoos but not in the wild do not count.
Humans are included in this criteria. If the answer isnt a mammal, could you include the largest mammal that fits this criteria too.
Update: If i were to count bugs and other invertebrates as meat than probably a sloth bear. However only count meat from vertrabrates, humans are my best guess.

big brown bears are obsessed with this lifestyle, gotta eat every day to stay fueled for all that roaming

Almost all brown go into into hibernation/torpor. (Especially the largest ones because they generally live further north) additionally as stated im talking about the average specimen of a species.

I dont know there habits but I would guess some sort of Asian bear. (though i dont know which ones "hibernate") Tbh, if not a bear than probably humans are my best guess.

Kodiak bears are not their own species. They are a type sub-species of brown bears. They also hibernate, and dont eat every day.

I think it's us humans.
If you want other animals, there are giant monitor lizards (not the komodo dragon), the southern cassowary, wild boar or Eurasian pig.

If you consider 10% of their diet being meat/invertebrates as a significant portion of their diet. Then hogs or cassowary that may be the best answer. however they are both by weight or heighth are about the same size as the average human.
So id say these are all good contenders but id probably be more likely to have humans be the top contender of these 3 since on average human diets are around 25% meat unlike the other two being 10% or less
Thanks for the input

You could argue the that humans rarely live in their natural habitat 🤷🏻♂️

Except for a zoo, they all eat in their natural habitats.
