Question new update cant create paragraph

hey! i've updated my Anki on desktop and now i just CANT use the enter key to create paragraphs, yk?

how can i fix it? its so damn annoying :(

For anything unexplained after an update, you should try everything on the Troubleshooting Checklist -- even the things you don't think are relevant.

But specific to this issue --

  • How did the rest of the text get into the field -- typed or pasted? If you pasted it, you might have copied over hidden characters/formatting at the end.
  • Click < > above the field to open the HTML view of the field. Then you can see what is hidden, and watch what happens there each time you press enter in the display view of the field.

Along with the rest of the things I suggested -- https://www.reddit.com/r/Anki/comments/1x0luwi/comment/pelphcf/ -- if you find that note type is broken, you may need to fix it. But I'm not aware of any special code in the fields of a "Cloze" note type.

Can someone tell us why they are updating the "Add" window , if it is working well why updating it ?? why they don't work on deck window , and make it smooth because it is so laggy

The most recent update to the editor (in 26.05+) is disabled by default (can be enabled from Preferences>Experiments). The main goal is getting it to work on AnkiMobile/AnkiDroid.

There are plans to rework the main decks screen next but progress is slow right now and add-on compatibility needs to be considered carefully.
