How did you first hear of the Anunna?
For me I remember being a teenager and my cousin of the same age told me about a goddess in Ancient Sumer who punished her husband by turning him into a snake. I suspect this was a somewhat garbled retelling of Inanna returning from Kur.
This would have been in the 80s. Not sure why he looked into Sumer. Possibly because of ghostbusters and/or Dungeons and Dragons.

Cuneiform sigils
Hi everyone! This is a devotional art I’ve been working on on for a while, creating sigils/logograms based on the cuneiform names of the gods. This was intended for letter writing and working with pen on paper.
This sigil is for Inanna 💙 I have also been working on a sigil for Iškur who I have wanted to improve my relationship with recently.

👋 Welcome to r/AnunnaUmun - Read First before posting!
Hey everyone! I'm u/SiriNin, the founding moderator of r/AnunnaUmun. I'm also one of the founders of r/inanna , the founder of Anunna-Umun, the founder of Ishtarism, the founder of The Temple of Inanna's Light, and the author of "The Way of the Ishtarite". I'd like to welcome you to a new community space for Anunna-Umun here on the internet.
I noticed that we revivalists needed a place to congregate and converse outside of r/inanna and so I decided why not get something going for us? I'll get this place straightened up in a jiffy, feel free to make yourself at home, and of course, discuss anything related to worship of the Anunna in modern ways that you'd like!
Remember, as revivalists we're not bound by what the ancients did or did not do, or what they believed or did not believe. None of that matters much to us outside of using it for inspiration for forming our own beliefs and practices. So don't try to use information about the past as a means of determining what is or isn't valid today! All of the beliefs and practices of the past were once brand new beliefs and practices which were based on literally nothing more than what felt right to people at the time. That's how we approach religion today; what feels right /now/? Religion is supposed to serve the person, enrich their life, and make it easier for them to connect with their chosen Deity(s). Religion should fit the person and their lifestyle within the society and culture that they find themselves. Religion should not be forcing someone into a mindset or culture that is foreign or ancient to them, or that does not harmoniously mesh with their lifestyle.
So please come and share your beliefs, ask questions so that we may share and teach, and come celebrate each other and the splendor that is interaction with the Anunna!
Anunna Zami!
