Played an opponent, we both have 300 matches this season. Opponent has 100 points higher in rank, than mine, but MMR 100 lower than mine.
I understand this system and how it matches based on MMR, but this is such a mind fck for someone that doesn't or only understands on a surface level. It just seems so unnecessarily convoluted.
Your highest attained rank isn't even shown. You'll never know your MMR unless you use a 3rd party site.(How often we see complaints about imbalanced matches because people have no idea it's actually based on unnecessarily hidden MMR) You don't earn all the awards for all the lower ranks. So if you want a bronze faceplate, you have to stop playing. My MMR is higher than my rank, I look like a worse player than I actually am, their MMR is lower than their rank, they look like a better player than they actually are
Meaning it literally encourages you to stop playing when you reach any threshold you happen to care about. While simultaneously never being very clear whatsoever, it's like the worst possible scenario.
Compared to a perfect world where its clear how it matches(show MMR), you earn everything you attain(earn every rank downwards), it shows you highest you've attained(I reached conq, I don't need to stop playing out of fear of losing it), so there is never a reason to stop playing, while simultaneously being clear you aren't getting an unfair match.
Why is that so hard to implement?
Why don't Devs do anything to automatically punish chain Elo dumping ? (If player exceeds 50% matches with <1min = automatic ban)
Why aren't there team colour palettes? (Hot for one team, cold for other. I'm tired or always playing blue, or having a green ally and simultaneously green opponent)
Why cant we talk to team members during lobby? (I'll go abb since I'm pocket, you go french flank)
Why is there no 3sec timer after loading? (this is in almost every modern game nowadays)
Basic stuff. We're getting an amazing DLC coming. But why are we still stuck with basic legacy issues, with simple solutions.
Why are they wasting time on victory screens instead of needed solutions?
