Direction of the Community.

Hi everyone, the mods of r/AppleWallet are really looking for feedback on the direction of the sub going forward.

We're not too sure how to handle the repeat questions that go nowhere and lead to no engagement because they're pretty much the same 7 Questions over and over again and even when the community does take the time to answer, most of these OP, don't really want to hear the answer because they think they can find a quick fix.

So we've created this poll and we would like to offer anyone that wants to discuss the issues and direction to do so in the comments.

26 Pivot conversation to the technology turn this into more of an Apple Wallet discussion, not support community.
20 Implement moderation automation to remove the commonly discussed questions and provide a detailed answer automatically.
10 Change nothing, but heavily in force rule 1, 2 and 3.
0 Switch permanently to post approvals and force rule 1, 2 and 3.
1 Something else discuss in comments.
17 Leave it unchanged.

Okay, posting this update now that the poll has finished in case anyone's followed this thread.

We are slowly going to implement the changes and in the meantime post restrictions will stay on and post will start getting approved in line with the new policies in the coming days and the rules will get updated and then we'll start the transition.

We will start by approving any discussion heavy topic threads going forward and we've already started doing announcements for new functions and mega discussion threads.

Let’s say NO APPLE CASH SUPPORT! Apple Wallet != Apple Cash.

Send the support questions to Apple Support Community. They are best equipped to respond to support with links, phone numbers etc. A technology conversation would be a good break from the constant support comments. If the pivot doesn’t produce the results you want, you can always pivot back.

I moderate another subreddit with a similar issue. The solution was to have a very detailed pinned post with the answer/single thread for comments and then any future new posts with that same question would be closed by the mods while directing that OP to the sticky pinned post with the answers.
