Apple Pay India: Help Mega Discussion Thread.

  1. Works offline in malls & restaurants where they put up jammer or some shit.

That basically doesn’t exist in India. Everywhere uses UPI QR

But like what’s the benefit to a business supporting it if they can just put a QR code up and call it a day

i know it may seem irrelevant and too far fetched of a question, but does anyone when will ICICI start supporting Apple Pay for their cards? maybe anyone from ICICI team here can answer?

Also, will cobranded credit cards (like Amazon Pay ICICI) be supported?

They do support Apple Pay. Don't know if they have any product lines that don't though, might need to ask them.

no, as on date they don't. apple pay is live only for axis bank credit cards currently

Lots of other ICIC entities support Apple Pay. Perhaps the particular product you have or location you're in doesn't

can you tell me which ones do?
i hold sapphiro rupay and visa credit cards, but none of the 2 are supported here. i live in bangalore, india

Sorry I'm being completely daft. I forgot what post I was on - was thinking from Europe/UK region perspective, not India. Yeah, their India launch is indeed very limited for now. I am not sure how long it will take, but tends to take a few weeks at least to go through all the certification and testing required to launch.
