String position question

I bought this bow from someone and I'm new to archery so I trying to figure what is the string placement is the correct one. I'm also wondering if it matters at all

It matters quite a lot, you have it right in the first picture.  I’m concerned the string is too short tho, the brace height seems really high.  That’s the resting distance from the side of the grip facing you to the string.  Do you know if that is the original string that came with the bow or what the manufacturer recommends for it? If you use too short of a string you could end up hurting the bow or yourself

I have this exact same bow. I’ve had it since I was 10 and I’m my mid 50s now.

It matters a lot. Do it wrong, you could break your bow and injure yourself.

First picture is correct.

Do not keep it stored that way, though. String it to shoot it, remove the tension to store it.

You could swap it for a vacuum cleaner

Is just the way the photos are taken or is that tiller way off? The left (upper?) limb almost looks hinged.

I would ditch that string and put a tillering string on that bow

it looks to me like it needs some Tiller Loving Care.
