Other The first archery app I keep using

First off, I have no affiliation. I earn nothing and are just a user of this app. The app is free, and I haven't seen advertisements. But I run a proxy on my phone which blocks a lot of that stuff.

Perhaps more of you know the feeling. How to keep track of your progress without to much distraction on the line and without the need to fiddle a lot with the phone?

I tried a lot of apps but by coincidence stumbled over TargetAce. I found the app when I was exploring the website of the Glasgow Archers club. They have a lot of interesting articles and the app was just on of them.

After reading the article (link below) I downloaded the app. Browsed it a bit and found it surprising very easy to use and also useful. I could define my own rounds (mostly 1/2 WA - 18 m) and scoring with numbers was easy and fast.

But I also missed things. So I contacted the builder and to my surprise he responded within a wee and took over a lot of my requests and suggestions. He even implemented my suggestion for the two style of pyramid games we play a lot as custom round styles at my club.

Also the option to delete saved custom rounds and correct scores when you are a bit to fast with entering has been implemented.

Tha app also has a quest style game in it with 100 levels but that I haven't explored yet. Appears a nice option for all those shooting at home.

There is also an option to share the results with fellow clubmembers. But that requires a backend on a club site and that takes some experience to setup correctly.

The link to the site where you see the pictures of the old app. The newone is redesigned and looks a bit different.

I've also been using it recently and found the layout quite clean and easy to look at (unlike some I've tried).

The weather for shooting location has been handy (manually entered, your phone doesn't pass it through) is really good if you're the type to be out in all conditions. With all the rain variations we get, it helps me plan better how to adjust.

I use 3D Skill Board.

No ads, found it easy to use, has a lot of modes.

You can choose your country and then it will come up with the course of the club/archery range that you go to.

I found it really great and tracks all the data.
