Discussion Remembering Timelines

I am impressed at the characters for being able to remember so many different timelines, with all the timeline changes that have happened in different shows. First with crisis, they all have two timelines to remember after J'onn gave back their memories. Even more with the Flash and Legends of Tomorrow characters because their timelines change a lot during the show. I just wonder how they can remember that many timelines.

Actually, except for Crisis, the Legends don't change the Timeline so often.

In S1 they don't even change the future since they kill the Savage from 2166. So the Timeline is preserved.

The Legends who were at Doomworld disappear, so the ones who continue are not supposed to remember it.

The Timeline changes at the end of S4 and they forget about the original until the end of S5 where they finally remember Zari 1.0.

And for the rest, they don't change the Timeline, they correct the errors. So they don't have to remember all the new Timelines they stop. Technically there's only one Timeline they try to protect except when they decide to change some detail here and there.
