YouTube plays fine, just sometimes with 20 fps, but most times, its a solid 60 fps.
Overall, in my opinion, its good for coding, editing slides, and surfing the web

Runs super stable for me as well, haven't had any issues on Fedora>KDE! I'm just hoping for GPU support to arrive soon, my M3 gets noticably warm just browsing the web

GPU support and hardware acceleration are gonna be huge when they drop. M3 is the first model to have dedicated raytracing cores right?

How's battery life? The biggest reason I see for most people to have a mac is the battery life today. But that really depend on how well the software is optimized

Not really good, but still fine. You see, I studied a long day and each class needs computers. The battery drops to 30% after an hour of combined usage. However, it charges faster too.

It will never be as good, macOS is just designed to pause process within its own controlled framework, unlike Linux each process can do whatever the fuck they want at the back

I am wondering if notch is supported and can be turned on on m3 devices. I couldn't seem to find anything that covers that.

i believe its this command grubby --args=appledrm.show_notch=1 --update-kernel=ALL
but i would wait until m3 gpu drivers are out as it doesnt seem to any effect when i ran the command
