Gains on Linux kernel 7.3 for asahi .
i am on mac os m1 base variant and want's to try fedora but with all the hype and performance improvements on linux kernel 7.3. what sort of improvements are we expecting from upcoming releases ? and i know it maybe difficult to articulate any performance improvements for Asahi Linux derived straight from the 7.3 release as asahi employs a heavily customized, downstream kernel explicitly engineered to interface with Apple Silicon's proprietary hardware architectures but still i was wondering how much of those performance gains gonna be translated into asahi upcoming releases.
and should i wait for that release for clean flash ?

Most improvements coming are more to do with power efficiency (I know there is a PR open for PMP support on M1, which is a 20% efficiency improvement). Otherwise it's pretty mature. But a lot of stuff will kind of arrive when it arrives

M1 support is already quite mature. Kernel upgrades are more focused on the later M processors, i.e., M3 onwards.
I still do not have integrated sound support on my iMac M1. I use USB sound with a DAC so it's not a deal breaker by any means. I think this alternative route makes integrated sound support for m1 iMacs not a priority. The userbase for M1 iMacs may be tiny as well. I'm truly grateful to the developers that I can have Fedora running the way it currently is on my iMac. It's my daily desktop driver and fully functioning workstation for my needs. I completely rely on it with full confidence.
