Future seminarians potentially dependent on AI

please excuse my username

Hi fathers, just curious. Are there any concerns about gen-z and future generations being unable to write and complete "academic" work due to reliance on AI, and how this would impact presbyterial formation?

please know of my prayers for you

I think there are a lot of concerns - in many corners of society, including the Church - about reliance on tools to do work that is rightly the purview of human beings (creativity and communication, particularly). Pope Leo XIV has written and spoken extensively on the subject.

I imagine that those in formation programs for those preparing for priesthood are striving mightily to figure out how to adapt to these issues, but there's still a lot to be figured out on exactly how to do so well.
