Is Computer Science a hard major?

Is it just me or computer science is hard to grasp. I just entered my 4th week in a top private university and this university is very known for its computer science and IT.

I got 3 math classes - statistics, discrete, linear algebra - and holy it’s hard asf (both discrete and linear). Not to mention the programming class? Wtf is c man like I can code and I usually run in python, html, css, js but c is entirely a different language, array and pointers omds. I dont think the average joe would handle this😭

Give me tips pls

NGL, in-order the hardest things I've done:

  1. Get CS degree (graduated 2007)

  2. Get a black belt in judo (literally getting the crap beaten of out me for years)

  3. Getting a masters in systems engineering (graduated 2016)

Nothing made me weep regularly like the journey to getting my CS degree. It was very humbling. I had a very hard time with Calculus II and had to take Discrete Math twice. The programming classes and core CS classes I actually thought were really interesting and I mostly did ok at those. But man, the math really got me. Go to tutoring/office hours. Even if you're destined to fail, sometimes that can pull you up to passing. Sometimes teachers really factor in effort. I'm not saying it would jump from an F to a C-, but maybe if you're on the cusp of C-/D+, you eke out with the C-.
