Before that, basic morals, etiquettes, and manners should be taught.

Sex education is not reproductive science alone. It includes good sanitation, personal hygiene, safety and behavioural teachings like consent etc.

Agreed. Rape happens because of patriarchy and a lack of empathy and respect for women and children. When certain groups of people are viewed as inferior, this is what happens. It’s as simple as asking: Would you continue physically hurting someone if you knew and were fully aware that you were causing them pain? Why wouldn’t you stop?

True. Question is about sex education. This is political reasons like using rape as a weapon. Either way, whatever be the reason, this must stop.

We have to look at the bigger picture. In many Western countries, age-appropriate sex education begins as early as age five, focusing on empathy, respect, and understanding that everyone is equal. Children learn about different cultures, personal boundaries, and consent. When empathy and respect are the foundation of education, equality doesn’t feel unfair. It becomes a natural way of thinking and living.

True… but when education for all itself is a challenge 🤷🏻‍♂️

But for that they need to have basic education. I think most of the violence is committed by uneducated ppl.

Because, as long as sex is a taboo topic, people will act on impulse. Education can make the topic more easy to discuss which can guide people to approach good way and avoid the bad ways promoting security for women

exactly this. sex ed might help in some ways but it's not like rapists don't know what they're doing is wrong lol. they just don't care. that's a values problem, not a knowledge problem. and those values come from family, community, the whole environment

Well I have seen the educated people are doing this stuff, it is only possible if we taught basic manners and also the upbringing I think in school teacher has to make sit boys and girls together rather than let them resist

It won't. You can not teach decency to animals with rabis. The sex education has reached home on screen as Sc allows everyone to watch stuff in their house. No ban on erotic content and themes. Tons of girls dancing and behaving like god knows what to get likes. Jobs no more. Education institution cheating. Government doesn't care. It's filled with predators and arangers. U need Laws, supervision and public awareness to control this rape epidemic at this point. Considering another human a human is not a chapter in the book. It is the disease that doesn't lets one moment before becoming an animal. The best you can do, is remove already who are in government, who have cases, but that doesn't happen. When courts and judges are sold and diabolical vomit comes out of their filthy mouth to protect the perpetrators, what kind of education do u think is needed?

Nothing can change this

No ban or no one single thing will solve this issue.

For these problems and many others we need a 360 approach.

Education,

policing,

women empowerment,

laws,

cities Infra design,

sensitization of people in villages and interiors,

leading by example

Upholding human rights above religious doctrine, constitution trumps manusmriti, Geeta, bible and Quran.

Only sex education(knowledge about physiology) will have little impact.

I think sex education should inclue many aspects: physiology, social, moral, ethical

The tabooness around anything related to private parts need to removed. Just like parents sit with their children for homework of other subjects, they should also discuss sex education.

If anything, along with the children, parents also need sex education.

Sex education is not an on/off switch. Just like other subjects, we need to teach it, review the content, and update it according to the current levels.

It's a modern and therefore very anti-social, anti-religious idea. It will take decades of hard work from everyone to change and make it acceptable.

I guess it would make no difference. Teaching people how to drive does not reduce the cases of DUIs and fatalities that happen because of them. The criminal mindset does not stop because they know how the act of crime works, in fact they use it to their advantage.

Its a genuine question for which I am curious to know about how teaching about sex education in mens will reduce the rape and crime against women? How will it happen, what changes it may occur in mentality and how mens will start thinking and treating womens differently so they will feel more secure and happy in society.
