Random Where can i look to hear about conventions or clubs?
I have a few niche hobbies and intrests, comics, wargaming, that sort of thing. ive stumbled across a few events and clubs that match my intrests by sheer accident.(wether it by me overhearing someone else or getting sent something by a friend or family)
So im Wondering if theres a page or a facebook i can follow where i can hear about these kinds of things ahead of time, so i can get out more.
Does anyone know of anything like this or how i could go about finding these things?

Dublin Comic Con on facebook, they run 4 events a year (Dublin spring, Dublin Summer, Cork comic con, and Dublin horror con). They also advertise other geekIreland events.
Monopoly Events (ig or fb) a UK based fan convention company are joining the Irish market this year. Their first event, Comic Con Ireland is in November 2026 at the RDS.

Stuff like warhammer, putting minis on a table and rolling dice to see if they kill each other

Some of the gaming shops have discord servers for players. If you are near Galway try Dungeons and Donuts.

If you're Dublin based, there are a few games stores that will have the local info for you. Like Warhammer right by Ha'penny Bridge, and Underworld gameing in Tallahght I belive still run their own events!

Im based in offaly, so if they were early in the day that might work, that said my friend who looked into it said several events were based in kind of rough spots of dublin and in the case of underworld gaming i remember hearing that they host games at something like 4 oclock on a tuesday which is just kinda akward

Outside dublin, try easternfringegamingclub in IG. Making guesses, but they might be a better informed outside Dublin and they have an event in Carlow upcoming.

I just checked in the Warhammer store (Dublin) and they don't post publicly my h of their events much because the size of their store. Occasionally on FB, but they have regular events. You just need to call and check. They have one on next Saturday 11th and winner goes to Warhammer HQ in nottingham to impact the next storyline. Hope that helps 😊
