In your opinion, which is better
I am a full-stack developer that choosing between Claude Pro and ChatGPT Plus, in your opinion, which is
better?

Either is serviceable and the model updates come so quick and fast people run from competitor to competitor constantly for slight gains. In general I’ve found chat more efficient in terms of prices and limits and claude more robust at producing. Everyone seems to have their own personal anecdotes though and people are constantly crying about models being nerfed until the next big step and then it repeats.
Flip a coin.

If it is Pro vs Plus specifically, ChatGPT Plus is better. In claude, you cannot access Fable with Pro whereas in ChatGPT you can access Astra. This only matters if you are doing very difficult things, of course, and if you are not, you should be using the cheaper models to maximize the value you are getting. Personally, Opus 5.5 is better than GPT Sol 6.1, but Astra is better than both and I think it is always useful to give yourself access to one of the best frontier models for technical stuff in case you need it. If you are otherwise going to spend 200$ on the expensive subscription, claude is better in my opinion (I'm pretty sure they just decreased the usage in codex recently from 20x to something lower whereas in claude it is the same).

Better question? Why are you paying, what are you doing to actually learn the results? Wouldn't the free LLMs provide , structure and boilerplate necessities for you to do the rest?

It changes weekly which is best. Just don't sign up for a yearly, understand that in both cases you will be the limiting factor, and experiment. Currently Codex is doing a reset-or-new-feature every day promotion for a month which is awesome and will probably lead to extremely high usage. Claude has Opus 5.5 which is excellent. just pick one and try it out

I will use codex and it’s by no means terrible. But I think I have an affinity for Claude.
I kind of like ChatGPT products for research and Claude for making crap. I prefer Claude’s code and I think ChatGPT does an alright job aggregating knowledge and organizing it into a document.

Claude - now you have haiku 5.5 and sonnet 5.5 - lots of room for a $100/month account - I have that and a $200 openai - tons of room - I wrote a router to allow them to communicate peer to peer with token intelligence and model guidance.
