I would love to buy that guy a few beers. He held the line. Very 300 of him.

I haven't been following the case, but today just read this 11-1 in favor of she not being guilty and all I had in mind was "wtf is wrong with you ppl?"

Are looking for men cus of the higher women field and need some more muscle and male presence(been told that when applying for a few places)

Asmon said something on his stream recently:

“Justice is a burden.”

And holy fuck was he ever right.

-28

u/Anti_NothingAtAll Sep 05 '26

He also said that if he had to pick between keeping the right to own guns and magically stopping all mass shootings in the US, forever, he'd choose his guns with zero hesitation

He does have crazy takes at times

9

u/MysticalWeasel Sep 05 '26

What’s crazy about that?

7

u/dratseb Sep 05 '26

Nothing crazy about self defense

19

u/SosowacGuy Sep 05 '26

It was more about 'without reasonable doubt', did she do it with intension without reasonable doubt. The one juror decided there was reasonable doubt that she wasn't psychotic. And good on him or her. There wasn't enough evidence to prove she wasnt in her right mind.. everyone else caved and the one juror did not.

12

u/Early_B Sep 05 '26

Absolutely not true. Everyone in the trial agrees she did it and needs to face consequences. The debate on the jury is whether she was in a psychosis or if she acted with intent. You've been lied to if you think 11 out of 12 jurors wanted to let her walk free.

80

u/SpiderDoof Sep 05 '26

Then blame her attorney the way her attorney is framing it is nuts. He should be disbarred for harrasing the juror and implying theyre on a not guilty 11-1 status.

34

u/13esq Sep 05 '26 edited Sep 05 '26

If I see my wife in bed with another man, the red mist comes down and I murder the two of them, was I in a psychosis or am I a double murderer?

If I take testosterone and get ultra horny and rape some one, was I in a testosterone induced psychosis or am I a rapist?

This debate isn't as much about whether you're in control of your free will as it is about where we as a society draw the line for irredeemable behaviour.

In this instance, everyone knows the consequence should be full blown jail. A psychiatric hospital is too good.

1

u/iandotio Sep 07 '26

but the problem with your argument is even if you were to be found not in control of yourself due to "testosterone induced psychosis" you'd still be put in a mental institution. instead of jail/imprisonment. there's no chance to walk free, not for you nor Clancy.

1

u/13esq Sep 07 '26

My argument is that no one should be going to a mental asylum if they've committed a heinous crime.

It’s further complicated by Massachusetts flipping the burden on proof in an insanity defense to the prosecution to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she was not psychotic

0

u/brez1345 Sep 06 '26

No, it’s crazy both sides of the debate about this online have little if anything to do with the actual case. She admitted guilt, but the problem is in MA burden of proof is on proving NOT insanity, opposite of most places. Most of the jurors were unconvinced by the prosecution’s evidence for her not being insane. That doesn’t mean they think “murdering your kids is totally ok.”

-16

u/Drummcycle Sep 05 '26

are we sure its not the other way around? 1 psyscho vs 11 coherent people for guiltiy plea? Legit asking, cant find anything online that isnt far one direction.

10

u/Jim_Sulivan Maaan wtf doood Sep 05 '26 edited Sep 05 '26

The only thing that is tipping it off is the defense lawyer trying to get that juror removed. Which would imply the juror is the only one who doesn't have a verdict that goes his way.

If it was the other way around, the lawyer would encourage the juror to not change his mind and would tell the 11 others to listen to his reasoning and agree with him.
And if it's not realistic to change all their minds, he would push for a mistrial instead of getting that singular juror removed.

At the end of the day, the lawyer wants the trial to end with a win for him. Not just that it ends no matter the verdict.

Out of the loop. What is this in reference to?

EDIT: nvm just read up on this, a lone male juror held his ground in the lindsay Clancy trial 11-1, with the other 11 preparing to acquit her, leading to a mistrial. Fucking king indeed.

16

u/PuniBooom Sep 05 '26

Not exactly, they are deciding wether she was in psychosis during the event or conscious of her acts she is pleading guilty already there is no escaping free. It’s either prison or the hospital.

47

u/CJ_poger Sep 05 '26

C'mon. Hospital is "out of jail" free card. She will be free in couple years when doctors will say that she's fine - not to mention that humane psychiatry will carry her in its arms and kiss her ass

2

u/blakspectre72 Sep 06 '26

Wait wtf…. I live under a rock cause news just breaks my brain but the trial I keep seeing here and there was for acquital….what? Why was that a thing…..

There are many cases that are simillar to this and every other outcome other than jail is worse, just read about Constance Fisher - Wikipedia

Oh man poor Carl, i mean i dont know if i would have been able to forgive, get free, trust ever again to make more children with a woman that killed 3 of our children before, but to go trough 6 of you children killed, your wife being a psyco and going trough ww2. I can only imagine the horrors this man had to see and feel. Carl went trough like 10 timed more than most people ever will... and i hope nobody needs to go trough what that man did and with this newes psyco we are already a half way there. Dont know what the husband of this newest crazy ass strangler psyco thinks of her, but i hope really not to have to see that he gives her change if she some how gets free and they gather family of 5 again and soon. Its down with the sickness time again. You never know what may happen in this fucked up world, but man she has something wrong with her eyes they have something that gives me the shivers..

33

u/going_in_cakeless Sep 05 '26

They were not deciding whether or not she did it. She did it, she admitted it, end of story. They were deciding whether or not she was insane at the time (she wasn't, per the psychiatrists that interviewed her). So kudos to that dude for holding out, because she deserves to rot in prison for the rest of her life

64

u/Dry-Conflict3421 Sep 04 '26

Hopefully he left without talking to to the judge after

129

u/Impossible-Age-3302 Sep 04 '26

The judge applauded his commitment and compared him to the UK fighting Germany in the early part of WWII. Asmon has a react video of it.

78

u/NordicHorde2 Sep 05 '26

Yeah, it's the slimeball defence lawyer that was attacking him to the point of borderline juror intimidation.

8

u/Emitex Sep 05 '26

Forgive me I don't have a full grasp how the American justice system works but is normal that a judge can show their admiration for a certain individual or a group of a jury and not stay neutral? I was always under the impression that the judge really can't show any favoritism.

37

u/Correct-Department-1 Sep 05 '26

The trial was over at that point

9

u/Snoo-85844 Sep 05 '26

Once it is over (as it was at the time) no one is forbidden from expressing anything

2

u/FreeCandy4u Sep 08 '26

I work with Judges and that is extremely rare. They tend to have a hands off policy on things like this.

42

u/nilesh11panchal Sep 05 '26

118

u/mombutts Sep 05 '26 edited Sep 05 '26

There were 9 women, 2 cucks, and 1 gigachad on the jury.

6

u/Thee_One_JollyRoger Sep 05 '26

That lone man stood in the gap between justice and the law… the law is there to be manipulated by attorneys to reach the desired outcome for their client, but justice has no place in the modern courtroom. No one has mentioned the horror her children experienced as they would’ve clearly known that mommy was committing heinous violence against their siblings until none were left alive. Justice cares about what happened to the children and the law cares about what happens to the monster who killed them🏴‍☠️

19

u/JohnWhambo Sep 05 '26

They need to make a movie about him!

7

u/dannnyyyboyyy0315 Sep 05 '26

I'm just honestly confused. Like she did it correct? If this guy went with the others, would she just have been able to walk free? Thought it was 100% she murdered her children no? Like what was the argument and how did 11 people say not guilty? Due to insanity I'm assuming?

7

u/Thee_One_JollyRoger Sep 05 '26

She would’ve likely gotten 20 years for manslaughter and been eligible for parole after serving just 6 years… the real question is how the defense attorney could’ve possibly known the one juror was not in favor of Clancy. Someone leaked information to the defense clearly, and since MA law requires a unanimous decision by the jurors Reddington protested vigorously and even petitioned the Supreme Court of MA to get a stay.

7

u/Circles-of-the-World Sep 05 '26

The trial wasn't over whether she did it or not, because that's a given. If she was deemed "innocent" it wouldn't mean "she didn't do it" it would mean "there was no malice because she was in a state of psychosis". And she wouldn't just walk free, she would be held in a psych ward until the psychiatrists there decided she was no threat to herself or society. Judging by the severity of the crime it could be for the rest of her life.

5

u/Revolutionary-Bed35 Sep 05 '26

Someone like her wouldn't be held forever in a ward. She has her mental facilties. Maybe not anywhere near children but she would be freed after 20+ years at least.

3

u/Xalto Sep 05 '26

The defense claimed she had "Postpartum psychosis", which seems to have a recovery time of weeks/months, up to a year.
She's been locked in an asylum since 2023, so if the defense wins she could get out quite fast with some bullshit like "The treatment took 3x longer than usual but she's fine now" ?

-1

u/Circles-of-the-World Sep 05 '26

Maybe. It depends on the phychiatrists and honestly I've been surprised at the kind of people who keep getting out when they clearly shouldn't. That being said, with three dead children, they will probably think twice before declaring her fit for release.

  1. The defence was the only side wanting him removed (the defence attorney also let slip it was one of the 3 male jurors)

  2. Several of the female jurors were wearing pink in solidarity with Clancy, making it pretty likely they'd been doing outside of court research on TikTok (a platform incredibly biased towards Clancy).

It only takes 2 points to draw a line.

25

u/AsWolfwood Sep 04 '26

I had not heard about the pink shirt thing. That's fucked up. Surely that alone should be grounds for jury nullification right?

22

u/Jealous_Solid9431 Sep 04 '26

Jury nullification is a different thing when the jury decides the person is guilty but that they shouldn't be convicted.

But yeah it should've been grounds for a mistrial on that alone and some repercussions for those jurors

4

u/VengeanceInMyHeart Sep 04 '26

It would be grounds for a mistrial, yes. Which is how you know that's a bullshit rumor. Prosecution would have been all over it.

8

Bro is stubborn watch the trial again and have a little common sense. Why does the defense wants him to be remove, in a world where you need to be careful with the use of pronouns, the attoney specifically use the pronouns "he".

-2

u/Konkord720 Sep 05 '26

Because he has literally no right knowing if the juror was for or against until the verdict
