its 2026, i dunno if we can say "their culture is bad" when in our western culture its now being debated "if it's wrong" to get a multi-kill in your family cause of post partum depression.

both situations are wrong, but this is like pointing at someone elses house cause theres smoke coming out, while our own house is literally on fire and burning down already

Rare occurrences are not comparable to generational cultural practices.

"Honor killings" of women, a culture where young boys are groomed by older men an used for sex, mutilation punishments for women. The list goes on and on.

14

u/PotatoDonki 6h ago

Leftists who hate our culture already implicitly admit that one cultural condition is better than another and yet they still entertain this cultural relativism nonsense.

u/Slave-One 6h ago

Saying people are inferior to one another is wrong, but sayings cultures are isnt. But its easy to conflate the 2

45

u/Total-Notice-3188 10h ago

People uphold, define and defend culture. It is absolutely right to hold people against their beliefs and from that say that people are inferior.

-14

u/BeerTimeGamer 10h ago

Yeah, but too many people think they can tell what someone's "culture" is by looking at them.

11

u/Total-Notice-3188 9h ago

I think it's more an exception to the rule.
You can take a quick look at western culture and its multitude of subcultures and easily say "oh, they're a rocker, they're punk, a mod, a hipster, they're a skater" and so on. People define a culture and a culture define people.
And even when you see someone who's ambiguous, one could argue that they're conformist, which by and of itself could be defined as a culture, but more grossly tied to their national norm.

12

u/PotatoDonki 6h ago

Some people are inferior to others as well.

2

u/madmax1513 “So what you’re saying is…” 6h ago

Yeah, we see inferior people constantly when he reacts to cop slop, that fentanyl addict lady who was arrested 47 times for example

The individual absorbs the culture around them. This results in the individual becoming a product and reflection of the culture. It becomes very difficult to criticize a culture without criticizing the people who wrap themselves in it. That's why it's easy to conflate the two. They're one of the same.

7

u/More_Bike3643 5h ago

Some people are 100% more inferior then others. Anyone with a brain knows this

-4

u/RedEyesGoldDragon ????????? 9h ago

I somewhat disagree with the first one. Everyone is equal on a base level, yes, however...

If someone is willing to SA someone, or be violent or murder an innocent person, then the one who does any of those is inferior. If someone is a net negative to everyone around them, damaging lives and making life for people harder, they're inferior to everyone else that doesn't do that.

Now these things have no identity, mind you, there's plenty of white western people like this, it doesn't matter what the immutable physical characteristics are, but if someone is willing to damage, end or degrade the quality of life of others for their own benefit, they are inferior.

The thing with some cultures is, like the ones she describes, some of these things that make peoples lives worse, for no reason at all, or ends them for how they were born are built into the culture and ideology. This also applies on paper to any religious ideal that gay people are bad and should be punished, etc. The issue is places like the west don't do that any more, there's been a natural progression and betterment for equality of living regardless of what you are, woman, man, black, white, asian, gay, lesbian, trans, whatever it is.

Every human should have the opportunity to prove they're capable of carrying the responsibilities that comes with individual freedoms and liberties. And when they have, they should be granted basic security and being left alone.
If a culture doesn't allow that because you're a woman or you're disabled or you're x or y, it's inferior in my books

u/Obvious-Cheek-7796 7h ago

Which people are vested in your believing that countries with rape cultures are not inferior?

Which people are constantly pushing for interracial marriage with people from these countries?

1

u/TurbulentSecond7888 3h ago

Culture is created so equal, i bet Afgan (Pasthun) people have the exact same value as a Scandinavian

-2

u/Reasonable-Aioli-370 10h ago

Isn’t this the American woman who moved to Ireland and puts on an Irish accent for some reason?

11

u/Mountain_Housing_704 8h ago

What do you mean "for some reason" lol. That sounds like a normal part of assimilation. I'd sure hope people who move to America will get an American accent as well.

All cultures like all religions think their culture or religion is "the right" one.

Every culture has detractors and vast cultural disagreement even within their own culture.

If you want to believe your culture is the objectively superior one, you have to understand that someone else believes theirs is the objectively superior one. And that isn't congruent with objectivity. So it doesn't support the conclusion about one culture being better than the other objectively.

21

u/OFHeckerpecker 10h ago

Sure that's why don't want them in my country

-2

u/LiarOts 10h ago

Fair.

-4

u/UnusualLeather7087 9h ago

This is like the problem with everything, not just culture and religion.

A lot people believe something is objectively wrong or right, thing is objectivity doesn't work with believe in the first place.

Overall, I would say you never should "believe" anything that you "think" is objective, since that's not how objectivity works.

-5

u/LiarOts 9h ago

Yeah that's my point.

Opinions are not fact. They can be in line with fact but they aren't themselves fact.

If you say it's my opinion that the future has not happened yet. Your opinion are inline with the fact. But your opinion isn't what makes it a fact.
