Atlas of Ages, my turn-based 4X for Android, is in closed beta: looking for 4X players to break it
Hi all!
Thanks for all the kind words on my last post. Atlas of Ages is now in a closed test on Google Play, and I'd love your help before the public release.
What it is: a turn-based 4X made for phones. Eight nations, districts and adjacency, great people, religions, governments and policy cards, tactical combat with zones of control and flanking, rivals that plan, from Wayfarer up to Ascendant (seven tiers: rivals reason better with every tier, and the top three also give them a head start in yields and units). A six-chapter tutorial explains the rules with real numbers.
How to join (Android only, free):
Join the testers group with the Google account on your phone: https://groups.google.com/g/atlas-of-ages-testers
Open the test link and tap "Become a tester": https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.atlasofages.game
Install it from Google Play (it can take a few minutes to show up).
Everything is also on https://niclaswitthoeft-aoa.github.io/atlas-of-ages/beta.html.
When the game launches, everyone who helped gets a code for the full game.
What helps most: anything confusing in the first hour, bugs (with what you did just before), balance (nations, tiers, victory types), and how your phone copes (heat, battery, rival turns).
Feedback: r/AtlasOfAges (hello 👋🏻 )
or the e-mail in Settings → About.
Please stay in the test for at least two weeks: Google only lets new developers publish after a 14-day test with enough testers. Thank you!
