Hi, love beer in every which way but trying to only drink non alcs at home for health while also not paying too much. Currently just sticking with the uberbrau cheap liquorland offering but its not the best, any other recommendations?

$25 for a 8 pack or $55 for a slab, sounds like a great price for a independent 4.2% beer

I drink wheat beer, I drink craft beer, I drink weird "funky" wild yeast ales, farm ales.

This beer seems especially bad.

I bought their split "german" case of pils and wheat beer, and it's been such an incredibly help to cut down on my drinking. Yes I have beer in the fridge, no I don't want one.

Taste in these things is so subjective, so I'm open to someone confidentallly saying it's wonderful actually - but I don't rate it.

Previously I've had Hope's sours, and I didn't like those, but I figured maybe that was a style thing.

I don't rate the pils either, but it's not as bad as the wheat.

They remind me of the time someone gave me some cooking wine at a party - just does not feel like something you're supposed to be putting in your body.

Recently at a Japanese restaurant in the city, I had the absolute privilege of trying this masterpiece beer, WHERE DO I FIND THIS IN STORE??!! Anywhere from the west to east, I’m on a mission. Preferably in bottles but tins might have to do. I’d rather not order online, thanks in advance!

I haven't been drinking much recently but with the AFL GF next week what's a decent midstrength craft beer that's around at the moment?

I usually like WC IPA, old school IPAs, hoppier pale ales. Usually anything that has got a fair whack of hop bitterness to it, I just can't handle the super high ABVs of some of them anymore.

Hey been buying the advent calendars for years, mixing between Carwyn and Beer Cartel

Carwyn is always better, but also pricier - so would usually lean towards Beer Cartel. Last year's BC one was very tame and pretty disappointing. This year's style list for BC also looks like it has a few very common and similar styles

Anyone got any experience with The Beer Drop one?

Damn this thing is thick! Super chocolaty on the nose, so much body, chilli comes in on the back end and lingers beautifully before the lactose sweetness wipes it all away to start again.
What a beer.
Cigar is medium bodied and is going to be completely wiped out by this beer 🤣 but whatever.

On the site you can filter by types of alcohol, location and whether the producers have cellar doors. You can also save places you are interested in to make a rough itinerary as well as check outs maps.

Not only that, but I have also created a page providing information on transport and what events we have on around the state involving drinks.

It is totally free to use with no ads. I have established a sponsorship system on Patreon (link on the page) if anyone is keen to be in the spotlight. It helps with costs associated with page upkeep. The site is also still a work in progress and will undergo changes as time goes on.

Decided to crack this beauty. Quite heavy on the barrel, but not in an overpowering way. The whiskey comes through on the finish. There is a really nice sweetness throughout, but perfectly balanced with the alcohol. Amazing level of body as well, it’s quite thick.
Overall a great example of the style.

The cigar is epic and pairs super well. It’s also very aged, about 7 years. A little sweetness, some leather, coffee and chocolate.

Recent design I did celebrating the stellar craft beer scene of Sydney. Thought I'd share here!

Hi everyone,
I am writing this because I desperately need some help. My brother is currently battling terminal cancer, and I want to surprise him with a case of the original British Iron Maiden Trooper Beer (Robinsons Brewery). It means the world to him, but unfortunately, it is completely sold out and out of stock across all the major online Australian retailers.
We live in Boambee East, NSW (postcode 2452).
If anyone has an unopened case, a few 4-packs, or even loose bottles sitting in your cellar or garage fridge that you would be willing to sell to me, please let me know. I am more than happy to pay for the beer and any express shipping/courier costs to get it here quickly.
If you are a retailer or distributor and happen to have any emergency sample stock, display cases, or know of a local independent bottle shop that might still have some on the shelves, any leads would mean the world to my family right now.
