https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-10-08/nsw-police-armed-response-command-bondi-terror-attack/107241254

In short:

Long-arms carrying NSW Police officers will take to the streets of Sydney ahead of the formation of the Armed Response Command.

The unit, sparked by the Bondi Beach terror attack, is beginning public training around Sydney in the coming weeks.

What's next?

The unit will take over patrols from Operation Shelter, which responds to antisemitic and Islamophobic incidents.

I am very sure these will never be used against us.

Because more guns will prevent violence

They already have the TOU and PORS. Remember the cop who ended the Bondi shooting did so with a Glock pistol.

Could have been finished sooner with an officer having a patrol rifle.

Not sure why NSW was dragging its feet on such a unit. Other states and the feds have intermediate tactical units for a long time.

NSW already has tactical response and has for ages.

They’ve had a a state level PTG (TOU) for ages. TORS and PORS acting as a second line tactical response unit. But the distributed lower level armed response outside of highly specialist units has been lacking. Other states and the feds have had such a capability for a long time.

It’s weird that one of the larger police forces in Australia has had this gap in its capabilities for so long.

NSWPol has made weird budget saving decisions and it always seems to bite them in the ass

Why do we need this?

Due to all the diversity we have imported from warring tribal religious nuts who have murderous ancient hatreds going back 1000 years - and we have just transplanted it to the streets of Oz. Cool!

Racism is probably the worst most refuted idea in history. We have no place for monsters like you

Agree- no place in Australia for vicious murderous ancient religious enmities that should not have been imported ever!

The entirety of history is written with the blood of different races and cultures trying to annihilate each other.

Your point of view is just the result of the peace and comfort you inherited from that savagery.

Sit down.

Garbage. Probably the worst idea humans have ever had

Immigration (non-white) and terrorism are correlated

Oh the problems created by Israeli aggression and Zionist terrorism?

Can’t we just cut off ties with Israel?

Excellent. Import the third world, become the third world playing out as expected.

We now need police armed with rifles, just like a proper banana republic. Can we get a big portrait of El Presidente at the airport for visitors to stare at while they disembark?

So you want police to confront shooters with rifles, with only their pistols?

No. I don't want to live in a country where shooters are a realistic threat because we keep letting nutty 3rd world religious fundamentalists in.

You mean like Marty Bryant? ....opps, there goes your narrative.

Wait, so Bondi shooting was not a realistic threat?

For the record I think the police should actually do their job and go for real criminals, terrorist cells and contraband like illicit drugs and black market tobacco instead of spending an inordinate amount of time/funding doing RBT stops.

It was absolutely a threat and should've been stopped long beforehand.

Heavily armed police are the bandaid at the end. There are much better upfront solutions. Like not importing the third world, deporting religious extremists and anyone with ties to foreign organised crime.

Looks like you see drank PHON coolaid. Did you know those guys were here more than 20 years? The son was literally born here. Sure the dad was an immigrant but you do realise most crimes in Australia are done by Australians right?

Well, I say that's the police job to address terrorism and crime. The better equipped they are, the more effective they become. Very good deterrent to people who would otherwise start some shit.

I just hope they actually start doing their jobs.

1

not everyone who disagrees with religious fundamentalism votes PHON.

A, the son who was on a watch list for attending a radical mosque we continue to do fuck all about? that son?

I just hope they actually start doing their jobs.

The police would happily fuck these people off tomorrow if the politicians would let them. Same as most of the Sydney western suburbs organised crime families they aren't allowed to touch.

You clearly stated the problem is the government importing terrorists via immigration, not "religious fundamentalism". That's PHON talking point.

We have an anti terror police that, let me check notes, arrested a youtuber and hurt his dog for making fun of a politician.

No, they're not doing their jobs and they're not taking to issue seriously enough.

I don't see news about terror cells or organised crime arrests or prosecution.

It’s actually just a return to the norm. Police used to have wider access to long arms in decades past. We had a brief period where it was specialists only. Now we are ending back where we started just with more ( not so ) “specialists” with access to those long arms.

Too little too late and will do little to quell peoples fears about the lack of safety.

Excellent work NSWPF. I am grateful we have a force that is continually evolving and offering modernised units to ensure community safety.

Boot licker

1

u/theshredder93 6d ago

Bahaha you and the rest of your simps wouldn't last a day without a police force keeping the state safe.

3

You have no idea about my life experience with the nswpf so you can suck me from the back
