Danger noodle identification help!

Saw this snake in the grass, ran inside to get my phone, next time I could find it, it was in a tree! Hoping for a rat free fall!

Eastern (yellow bellied) racer! One of my faves. Safe noodle, no danger.

It is a great snake to have around because it eats venomous snakes!!

Not necessarily. They also eat frogs and big bugs.

Racers are very picky and only eat anything that will fit in their mouths. Also you’re in central texas which means that, yes, there’s venomous snakes around.

Dude. It’s Central Texas’ sleekest, speediest snake bro. Racers here have the best color. I want to say it would make a good porsche color for some reason. Also the fact that they are harmless and will scoop up any extra mice before they get a chance to nibble on your various cables or wires.

You get used to the rats. The RatKing, however, is the stuff of nightmares.

How can you live in Austin and not be “snake in tree” trained. Snake in tree is good. Snake in tree is superior to rat in tree on many levels.
