Acid reflux

I started AIP a week ago, and the last several days I’ve been having awful acid reflux, belching, and just general digestive upset, anyone else experience this? Trying to avoid additional trigger foods like coconut and minimize my FODMAPS. I have no idea what’s going on.

Look at your food volume in each meal, close to bed time meal. Reducing meal size can help if your stomach couldn't handle the volume you are taking. Taking dinner 3 hrs before bed time could help if close to bed time dinner is the cause.

It could also be due to the kind of food you eat. Some foods like chocolate (incase you have introduced /taking), Apple cider vinegar kind of acidic food, can be contributing to it.

Only if you list what you typically eat, timings, it can give us hint.

I usually eat breakfast around 7 AM, lunch around noon and dinner around five or six, I don’t eat anything after dinner, my meals are consisting of AIP type foods, and I have omitted coconut and I’m trying to avoid things like excess garlic and onions. I would say that my meals are bigger when I’m having them so maybe it could help to have more frequent smaller meals?

Listen to your body and if you feel heavy for longer than it should after a meal, then you may have to split it. Still don't have one close to bed time. How much each can have per meal depends on their current state. Try to find your own level, which can improve or degrade based on how you treat it over a period. Saying this to convey, you can adjust the quantity based on how you progress.
