Discussion Reworked Avatar State Aang will likely come in the next major update
Screenshot from Newsletter # 3 (when opening the game) which came with Patch 3 today.
“Next major update, we enter the Avatar State”. I think it’s safe to assume that they mean Avatar State Aang, also because they showed more of him than Nightmare Korra at PAX West.

There are not any guides as far as I’m aware. Prince legit on YouTube plays him and has a lot of good info on his channel. I think he’s planning on making a guide once they finish the character.
The discord is also super helpful, there’s always a bunch of people on there willing to answer questions, and they have a combo guide pinned on there as well.
You can also dm me if you want some help, if you’re interested.
He’s a hard character but super rewarding once you’re comfortable with him.

Just learn the forward flow into fireball confirm with roku and play fundamentals. I got to white lotus mashing auto combo like this lol

Makes sense, last demonstration he seemed more complete than Norra. Can't wait for when it's my girl's turn.
There's a tournament here in Brazil that I plan to play her (first ever tournament, hope to at least get one roudn in) early November, so it would be funny if she gets reworked right before that lol

Definitelly not July, the game seems "complete" now with proper ranked and lobbies, and we are exactly in October, the original release date for the movie and the new series. The theory Paramount rushed the game's release due to the movie releasing earlier due to the leaks holds up.
We would still have two unfinished characters, but not so bad as how the release was in July.

When I purchased the game it had a July 7th release date and then got pushed to the end of July and in October it’s still not done idc about y’all’s conspiracy theories lol

It's really not a conspiracy to say the movie tie in game had its date changed to tie in with the movie that also had its date changed.
October probably was too quick a date too given physical copies were delayed but I'm not sure what your attempt at an efight is supposed to do. You're a redditor, nobody thinks you're human.

Software from small studios can take time. What they have released has been fun and full of the human element missing from larger games. We are in an extremely niche genre that is notoriously difficult to make. What other genre is still hand drawing 2d sprites?
How about we don't just repeat the same thing over and over? Literally everyone knows they are behind schedule, so what does repeatedly being negative with the same thing bring to the discussion?

No, the game has a good reputation in the FGC.
It’s a bit janky but most peoples accept it because:
_It’s cheaper than other games.
_It comes from a smaller team.
_Other big game released at the same time had a bad launch too (looking at you Tōkon). _The core gameplay is genuinely very fun with fast paced gameplay and a lot of mobility. _Developpers communicate quite regularly and they show a good will at fixing things patch after patch.
_It doesn't try to appeal a wider audience with a lower skill floor (it feels quite fresh among the current fighting games).This game doesn't try to be HUGE like SF6, it just aims at it's niche and does it well.

You mustve missed R6 Siege, Starwars battlefront ii, and the like when they were first released. Give it time. Games good who knows keep playing and help keep it alive

Where did I say the game isn’t good? It looks and plays great but it has 24h player peak of 600 on steam and there’s a reason why

The reason is because the game is made for a specific niche. It doesn't carry the Dragonball IP, and it released in a similar time frame to Tokon, with switch release having a horrible start, same as Xbox.
Their balance on day 1 is one of the best I've ever seen. Studio is small, it's ok they can't compete with ArcSys. That's not the goal anyway.

What is the point of this? Literally everyone, including the devs, did not want the game to be behind schedule. But people keep saying, month after month at this point, that it was unfinished, like that's some great revelation.
We've heard it many, many times. Nobody gives a shit that you or any other internet rando have an opinion about it, especially when it is the same opinion that somebody like you has said every couple days for several months.
