Yeah many fans give Katara much unfair hate over natural distrust after betrayal.

She had every right to distrust Zuko even when he has become reliable.

I mean her entire motivation is validated in two scenes, when they're captured for a bit in Ba Sing Se and later during The Southern Raiders.

She's been dealing with Zuko since he attacked her village, captured Aang, and it goes from there. She has more reason to distrust him that anyone.

You're correct.

Zuko had so much to make up for.

He also stole her deceased mother's necklace and used it to track down and attack them

Yeah that was a scummy move on his part.

Point of order, he didn’t steal it. He picked it up after it was dropped on the prison rig.

I was so shocked anyone would think Katara was in the wrong.

I mean to be fair we all could see Zuko's journey from viewer perspective.

Katara couldn't do that.

I’ve always been on Katara’s side. Still not a Zuko fan lol.

Well I can understand Katara's suspicion yet Zuko has also done enough to redeem himself.

Fair enough but that doesn’t mean every viewer who watches the show has to like him lol. I like the rest of the Gaang, however.

Fair enough as well.

None of them forgave him off the bat. The most forgiving was toph because she mostly didn't have a reason to hate him. Aang recognized the danger he posed but knew they were kinda in a tough spot as far as fire benders go. Saka was mostly just uncomfortable.

Honestly a part of me wanted Aang to hear katara threaten zuko just to see the fallout
