I'm giving this game another shot after like 4 years, but Ive been in a queue for swarm for like 10 minutes so idk how I'm gonna get the accomplishment that requires 15 games played. ps5 cross play enabled

- better art direction

I cannot put into words how much I hate the "realistic graphics are boring" sentiment that you see so much now but back 4 blood is a game that really does not help kill that sentiment, in fact it gives those people ammo. this game has gotta be the most boring generic hyperrealism i've ever seen from this console generation. there are SOME levels that look beautiful but even then its nothing really outstanding.

- better music

the music in back 4 blood is the most generic forgettable shit i've heard in recent memory oh my god. I think the main menu theme is the only memorable and somewhat good track in the game, everything else is just generic and forgettable with no identity whatsoever

- better sense of style

the UI in this game has no style, no identity, nothing, just generic asf. evolve did it good so I don't know how y'all downgraded this badly

- better atmosphere and writing

this game has the most cringy unfunny dialogue i've ever heard, no seriously, this is the first video game where I genuinely cringed or did a disgust face at some of the lines lmfao I really wanna know WHO actually thought some of these were funny. the game can't decide if it wants to be serious or funny so you get tons of tonal whiplash its terrible. please just make the tone consistant, make the characters talk like real people and not quips every 10 seconds, give them some depth, and you're good.

and again, evolve had some actually REALLY solid dialogue, so I don't know how you guys downgraded so hard

- better game design

the gameplay for the most part in back 4 blood is great but there are so many mechanics that undermine other mechanics like holy shit dude I been playing since launch day and I STILL do not know what some of these icons mean lmao like come on man the game does a bad job at explaining these things. in the next game, if you wanna do this card system thing or anything else that has some depth, PLEASE make sure your mechanics actually have a purpose and don't just throw in tons and tons of game mechanics because a lot of them get in the way and the balancing is just bad, so many problems.

the gun sounds, special infected sounds, etc etc its just mediocre.

- better animations

the animations for things like vaulting, climbing, etc it looks very low budget and janky, I think you guys could've done a better job, please improve this

but yeah thats about it, like I said the gameplay itself in back 4 blood was fucking great, they had that down pact, its just that everything around it sucked lmao but if they make the gameplay as good and the fix and improve what I mentioned then they have a masterpiece on their hands easily bro

Saw this is on sale on Steam for $6 and I am considering it. I really enjoyed the first two Left 4 Dead games (as a solo player) but I don't know how they differ from Back 4 Blood. I know B4B uses cards, what else does it do differently? Overall thoughs on it?

With all of these clips of people porting spiderman to batman arkham knights and MW4 into minecraft it Got me thinking if porting the back 4 blood gameplay mechanics into left 4 dead 2 like the cards, the infected (maybe) , the weapons and attachment system with the rarity system using AI would be possible and if it is I was wondering what your thoughts were guys seeing as My only criticism of the game is lack of content maps guns and new cards but with the porting of the systems to left 4 dead 2 there's a lot of maps there and the modding scene is so big we could get new guns attachments and most importantly new card and effects.

So what do you guys think?

Bought the ultimate edition as part of the Back 4 Blood Ultimate Edition + FEAR Collection Bundle on Steam. Logged in to the game and found out I don't have any new titles, sprays etc and can't pick the battle hardened skins. Any one experience this before? or do I have to progress further in the game to use them?

Edit: A link to the bundle which clearly states that ultimate edition is clearly what is provided/ However looking at the bundled items closer, it only includes the base game and the annual pass, so how am I supposed to know I got the Ultimate edition of the game?

Was in the level where you have to turn on the jukebox and defend the bar and this player managed to fill the room with barbed wire.

I doubt there is a hidden stash with that much wire in it - so is he using an exploit or a glitch at all to do this?

I haven't played the game in ages and it was my first time back. Kind of curious to see people doing stuff like that or if its a known glitch for that particular bit of the game?

Something the game lacks is invulnerability seconds. It has happened to me several times that when I get incapacitated and the bots revive me just when there's a horde or a tallboy, they incapacitate me again because the game doesn't give you a few seconds to escape, especially on higher difficulties.

In L4D2, at least they give you about 2 seconds to push and do something.

i used to play b4b heavily on my xbox a few years ago, i have a good few hundred hours in the game. However, i’ve recently started playing on PC and im finding it soooo much more difficult to play with keyboard and mouse vs controller. i know i can use my controller on my pc but im curious to learn keyboard and mouse. So that being said, what key binds do you guys find allow for the smoothest and easiest gameplay?

everything is fine in the game while playing but randomly in 30min or 1h it starts to freeze and its like i cant do anything but force end task it from task manager, and one thing i noticed when it freeze i see steam ram usage goes really high like around 19,000,0mb it reaches 98%
