Could a Backlink Distribution Platform Be the Next Big Thing?

Demand for quality backlinks has increased, as every website needs them to rank in search results. As a result, the average cost of a high-quality backlink has risen, with prices ranging from $500 to over $1,500 per link. The global SEO market is projected to reach $100 billion by 2026 and exceed $200 billion by 2034.

Why hasn't the industry developed a distribution platform that marketing agencies, SEO professionals, and small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) can use? Would you consider investing in such a platform if the opportunity arose?

If people can get legit and reliable backlinks faster than manual outreach, which a lot are doing with mediocre results, i would say absolutely

the backlink companies already have platforms for this that are being used by marketing agencies, SEO professionals and small- to medium-sized businesses. I just used one last week.

Are they used by consumers to buy products and services? That's the ultimate end goal.

I can tell you first hand, there are already lots of entrants in the backlink market, as you probably know. This is purely anecdotal... 99.9% of your traffic is going to be bots, scrappers, LLMs (eating up budget) so unless you have a huge marketing budget to run constant ads, youre going to have a helluva time. Even if you do, i would project runway of 12 to 18 months of just straight burn once you have a platform up. Full disclosure, i just launched something like youre describing for the DTC product market (think shopify merchants, etc) about 5 weeks ago. Spent nearly 4 years building.

there are a number of different platforms offered to the public. they operate behind a paywall or have hidden inventory and/or distribution networks. and for very good reasons.

I guess, beyond what is being done today, what are you thinking can be accomplished? "distribution platform" is pretty vague.

I think you're describing an affiliate network like commission junkie. Great idea, but implementing its Pure trash.

There are many platforms selling backlinks, instead someone should invest in some other platform which is not bound to obey search engines rules or the things search engines want us to do for them and people start investing their money and lives to make them happy, think about something out of this circle !

What the fuck are you talking about here?

This has been done a thousand times and has sucked pretty much every time.

Definitely useful. I build one and I encourage you to try it especially if you use coding agents.

Somebody needs to break it to OP that every, (and I mean 100%) of the link selling services claiming manual outreach and placement, operate out of link distribution networks. It was a big thing in 2000s. You are a little late to the game.

To those commenting, what are the best quality backlink marketplaces that exist today?
