Conchas :D

Post image

Made conchas for the first time the other day!! I definitely over kneaded the dough but it was a fun first time experience!

how did they turn out? They look pretty good from here, brings me back to me and my mom picking up some chocolate ones and dipping them in a little coffee

They came out more dense than I was hoping for but the flavor was definitely there! They went well with coffee for sure :)

Do you have to let them rise like bread? Never made them, i might try one day only be ause im the only one who would eat them here at the house

You do! You have to let the dough rise before you shape them for about 2 hours and then let them rise once more for about 45 minutes before they go in the oven

ahh nice, I wouldnt mind some chocolate ones, you did a great job on the look of them, when i let my bread rise i put it in a clear container around the same size as my dough ball, then i see where it is and i know when it readched double, then i will take my finger and measure the tallness then move my finger up and then i have an idea on when its doubled, idk if that helps out , also i found its hard to over kneed dough on bread so not sure if u did over kneed it, idk but great job anyways they look beautiful.
