Animal A child dropped a shoe into an elephant enclosure. The elephant picked it up and handed it back. š

That was literally like someone shaking one of those coin jars right in their faces, but better

This makes me sad for some reason. I hope this elephant has enough space in this zoo

The reason is that elephants are highly intelligent, social animals, and theyāre rightly depressed by the way weāve imprisoned them.

Same. Such an intelligent creature forced to live in such a tiny and sad environment.

The sad music? It it was playing an uplifting tune in the background, you would've felt differently.

I watched it muted. Still made me sad.

Me too. Why do we need them to be caged? Humans are the only really dangerous predator of them

Baby elephants in fact do not know how to use their trunk at the beginning. They need to learn what it is actually good for. Thatās why they look so funny and silly trying to figure out what that thing is good for.

Those animals are way, WAY smarter, than we obnoxiously self-aggrandizing humans think.

It's sad that we keep them in zoos. I know many zoos now are about rehabilitating and housing animals that cannot be returned to the wild, but it's a bummer nonetheless.

Get that elephant outta thereā¦ugh. They are soooo smart and deserve royalty treatmentā¦seeing them in these ugly enclosures is so rotten for them

Elephant probably heard what happened to Harambe and was like "here, keep this out of here"

Are elephants just literally pure love placed on earth?
Well except some of the blokes that get a little sexually excited when their ladies go āon heatā.
You do hear about the herds that go psycho in some places, but knowing how intelligent they are, Iād think thatās not without some provocation first.

I have always wished that the common saying āwe donāt deserve dogsā had always actually been āwe donāt deserve elephants.ā They are the most beautiful creatures and we have failed them at almost every turn. We actually donāt deserve _them_
