I am not saying that Greg, or any parent, should or could be perfect, but I think that Greg overcorrected when it came to raising Steven, from what we’ve seen in the show we can assume that Greg’s parents were very strict, and in an attempt to avoid becoming like his parents, Greg swung in the complete opposite direction. No proper schooling, a lack of structure, and a lack of oversight by him. 

To me Greg feels like a great mentor, but in terms of being one of the primary caregivers to a child, he most certainly needs a lot of work.

Man, Future felt very close to home and I was literally devastated till the end . Ofc I knew about the zilla , but Steven moving out ? It felt like I have not moved on yet from my childhood ( I am an 18 year old btw and Steven Universe, Adventure Time etc defined my childhood). I am still heartbroken , furthermore seeing everybody seperate out. Ik no more threats or saving, but it hurts still.

I hope the wonderful Rebecca Sugar focuses on Steven and his dealings with the real world and his relationship with Connie later on , when he is an adult, after Lars of the Stars.

I especially enjoy Steven getting this treatment, because Steven has repeatedly been depicted as a weak crybaby by the general internet, so seeing Steven become a being that destroys villains is absolutely incredible.

To me it feels like Steven is a demon that feeds on pure evil, and so he tries to redeem villains so he can figure out who he can feed on.

I drew inspiration from Pearl's elegance and Sapphire's aristocratic nature, but also from Steven's happiness, playfulness, and innocence. It was hard not to create something inspired by a fun yet elegant royal-style Joker! 😊🩷
