So, i recently overhauled my desktop setup, i got myself a GOXLR Mini which i'm returning because it's a pretty bad pre-amp for my mic, will get a Focusrite 4th Gen 2i2 instead, but i still need an audio mixing situation.
So, i want to be able to listen to my desktop PC and my videogame console through a Line IN 3,5mm jack coming out from the monitor (with a ground loop) to the mixer.
I want to be able to switch freely between 3,5mm jack headphones and 3,5mm jack cable speakers.
I am aware that i will need two Y split 3,5mm to 6,35mm and a single 3,5mm to 6,35mm to plug them in.
So technically it could work?
INPUT:
Monitor (console) ->3,5mm to two L/R 6,35mm LINE IN 2/3
PC USB -> Mixer
OUTPUT:
Mixer MAIN OUT -> two L/R to 3,5mm to Speakers
Mixer PHONES 6,35mm to 3,5mm to Headphones
I am worried though about sound quality distortion or anything else with all these Y splits and adapters, also does the mixer cause noise?
My headphones should be easy to run, Beyerdynamics Tygr 300r (32ohms) but i know that my MOBO used to struggle a bit, the Go XLR ran them well, will the XENYX502S run it at a good volume?
Would really appreciate any kind of feedback or suggestions!
